This channel has hands down become one of my favorite channels to watch as of late. These two are so dang good together. The videos are amazingly done, keep it up guys.
Thank you for this! We're really glad that our style of video and sharing connects so well with you. Thanks for your encouragement. Here's hoping we can keep at it for some time to come in our life:)
producing content in these conditions inspires us all - thanks for reminding me that the craziness of fishing in those conditions is still rewarding and for the continued instruction.
Always take it on... with rod & camera gear. Thing is if we're out there we have to try on both. If you're going to get wet anyway you might as well give it a go :)
Beautiful. Like you say, they are definitely the most frustrating type of fishing, but something about it keeps us coming back for more. One of my best memories is fishing a tiny 4 ft wide Creek, pushing my way through thick brush getting cut up , dropping a weightless worm into the remnants of an old Beaver Dam, and seeing a massive mouth come up and inhale the worm from out of nowhere. 28 1/2 inch brown trout. I still think about that one. Great video!
That's exactly it! Thanks for sharing your story:) The visuals and the interesting details of each scenario with a fish that sticks in your mind are what make the whole experience so intriguing. It's worth every minute and makes you want to have another go each and every time.

Hi Andrew - Thanks so much for this feedback. We feel really grateful for the positive support in how we capture, edit and share. In our minds video is really nothing unless is connects with people and they feel something coming out of watching it. There is so much cool stuff in nature to try to get on camera and the process of getting to catch a fish in these kinds of conditions is so intimate and engaging.
@@jensenflyfishing speaking of fish intimacy i love when you hook a big fish in tight cover and he heads straight for the logs. Some of the fish you pull out and both of your enthusiasm is truly inspiring. Hope to catch yall streamside one day 😊 ill be putting your tactics to work
@@andrewerkfitz7638 I think it's all a methodical game of patience and watching the angles as they go into cover - there's really only one way out and that comes down to pausing it and pulling / willing it straight backwards - or going in like a buzz saw and trying to unwind the line from the sticks! :) Hope you are twice as successful!
I like the area, nice water for sure. If you are ever out in Southern California let me know. I have my own very special, willow, oak and pine covered creek full of very nice wild Brown Trout. Not easy to get to and requires a good set of strong legs to climb up and over the obstacles this unknown river throws at you.
Great job filming here especially towards the end when the weather really packed in with rain. I love these types of waters, jungle warfare as we call it over here in New Zealand but, a little more room to move here on this stream. The stalk and the anticipation of making your next move without spooking the fish is the most enjoyable part, but can be so rewarding. Its amazing how close you can actually get to them in places like this, like you mentioned during the video the fish some times almost use you like a tree trunk, great footage as always
Those who 'get it' love it 😊 These are the waters we love simply because you never know how it'll go... so unpredictable unlike hook ups on open waters where all you have to do is hold on and wait for it to fold 😊 LOVE THESE😍♥️🥳😎
Another excellent video, it definitely inspires me to try those spots I walk right by because I don’t want to deal with the obstacles. I’ll have to work on the bow and arrow cast and give them a shot.
We definitely encourage you to take on the challenge as the experiences that come from those neat moments are so worth the effort put in. Lots of waiting for timing of course but the process often has us at the edge of our seat and it's always worth the try.
