This is one of the best looking conversions that i have seen in a long time. The layout looks very functional and the electrics look very well thought out. Nice interview. Thanks...Vic
Very nice. In good news NZ isn't quite so strict on the electrical regulations e.g. we don't have to have double pole power points or breakers (yet). The main problem with running a 3000W inverter along with an AC fridge is the inverter will use 20-30W continuously when on, which adds to whatever the fridge uses. And it needs to be on 100% of the time, so each day it uses 0.6Kwh. Lucky they're in Aussie, so there's always sun for the solar when they add it :)
Oh that is good to know about the electrical regulations... I had never heard of double pole before. I also think they have a LOT of solar panels going on the roof 😂
I am afraid the AS/NZS3000 and AS/NZS3001 wiring regulations apply to New Zealand as well as Australia. If you want an engineers certificate for your bus the gas and electricity have to be signed off by a gas fitter and electrician.
Hi - love the video~ Weve got a very similar bus here in Adelaide. Same windows and same 'classic' wood grain panels - any recommendations when it comes to double glazing/ replacing?
can i ask how much you spent on your conversion im planning on either buying an already built rig, or possibly renovating my own same as you guys.. would be interested what the cost was cheers
No problem normally. Our bus is 11 metres long and 12 Tonne and the only problems I have had is overhead clearance and bridges at the entrance. You have to ring ahead to query and emphasize weight and height.
be good to see it now or if your ever heading taree way come freecamp on our property, we are starting our project bus soon and be good to get ideas, hangi for dinner lol
I liked they can lock the home part they made like a mudroom in the frount of the bus. like if somebody tried to brake in the home they can't get to them also as long as you cant hot wire the bus nobody can still the bus while there in the back sleeping.
Two things I like....1 is the way you kept saying "oh yes oh yes" when he was explaining the electrics, I couldn't keep with him either lol. And 2 I like the way his thick Southern Irish accent kept slipping into full on Ozzy 🤣. When I retire this is what I would like to do to a 1960' coach....tiz a dream of mine. Good Luck to them both.
Two great points 😂😂😂I didn't even notice saying "oh yes" haha. We don't have double pole in NZ so that needed a lot of explaining! And all their friends on Facebook are ribbing him about his Ozzy accent 😂That's a great plan with a 1960's coach!

They put a lot of time and thought into it!
Nice to see they have done a grand job so far
That kitchen was so impressive!
Wow super set up well done to this couple xx
Wow, their bus kitchen is almost bigger than the one in my house! What a great job they are doing.
I know, right! Such a lovely kitchen 😀
I really like what they have done. Looks awesome!
Yeah, they've done a great job!
Hey guy’s awesome job just wondering what double glazing you used I am doing a bus in Victoria as well Cheers Wayne

nice bus and i love the colours.
Yes, the kitchen colours are my favourite!
Travelling K . can't wait to see more video. really inspire me to buy a bus in the future (when i have enough money)
wow! love the bus.. great video 👍
They've done a great job!
Hi Karen. WOW how cool is that, a lot of work has gone into that but it will be worth it
A lot of work - but so interesting to see how they've put it together and their journey!
Do you have to have a cdl to get it registered?
Hi - love the video~
Weve got a very similar bus here in Adelaide. Same windows and same 'classic' wood grain panels - any recommendations when it comes to double glazing/ replacing?
Oh fun! They used a film that was stuck onto the windows, check out my first interview with them.
What did you do with air doors?
can i ask how much you spent on your conversion im planning on either buying an already built rig, or possibly renovating my own same as you guys.. would be interested what the cost was cheers
I don't think they documented the overall cost as they took a few years to complete!
Have you had any issues with caravan parks refusing entry due to being a bus conversion?
No problem normally. Our bus is 11 metres long and 12 Tonne and the only problems I have had is overhead clearance and bridges at the entrance. You have to ring ahead to query and emphasize weight and height.
I've seen 2 vids are there anymore? thanks
Just the two for them! Are you after more bus videos?
be good to see it now or if your ever heading taree way come freecamp on our property, we are starting our project bus soon and be good to get ideas, hangi for dinner lol
Are you still travelling in your bus guys?
Looking awesome great watch cheers
Thanks!
Well done as always hope to make the Rv show on saturday
Great! Look forward to meeting you 😀
I'm in Melbourne too do know anyone or company that build skoolie anywhere in Florida
The more solar panels on the roof, with an airgap under = more insulation for the bus. Keeps the sun off the roof...:)
Oh that’s a great tip!
Hi there since its a city bus whats the top limit it will go.
I'm not sure, but I'll just ask 😀
And they said: The bus is a city bus but has a highway diff and will do 120klm easy. 10 litre straight six 250hp turbo diesel motor.
Loved the video thanks.
Great to hear! Thank you
So jealous right now!
After something larger?
Travelling K probably in the future!
That would have to be the best home eva so well dun loved that video best 1 yet
Great to hear! I do enjoy the interview style videos, but the usually don't do as well...
It's such a large space compared to my tiny home😂
Nice video love 💕
It was great interviewing them :)

That's about three caravans :)
I know! So much room compared to mine, haha
And about 5 of mine 🤣
Melbourne is one of the nicest parts of Florida. Quieter than Miami but still warm.
Oh, there's a Melbourne in Florida? This is in Australia. Wish I had travelled all the way to America 😀
Travelling K Australia is the land down under. That’s a long way to travel.
It's the closest country to New Zealand. 3.5-4 hour flight ✈️
Travelling K that’s close! I’d love to be that close to Australia. Go and see me a kangaroo.
Thats what you should aim for Karen, an ex bus, far more space and overall more stable than a caravan. Regards, Bob. LH.
Hmmmm, haha. I'm happy with caravans or I'd probably go for something smaller...
