Angelle Laboard I felt that too when watching; as well as multiple passively made points by the lady, that seemed to indicate she doesn’t like it as much as he does, perhaps subconsciously. As for clutter; leaving it out is an honest show of who the people (really) are IN the home - some people are messy. Some are not. Some like to ‘look like’ they are tidy/happy etc, irrelevant of if it’s true. If you genuinely cared about if it was tidy (and not your image ‘looked like’) - you’d tidy. Before making the video. It also looks like she thinks his card-holder idea, is ridiculous 😬🤫
Honestly I think you may be looking a little too far into it... lol. Someone else was recording and perhaps it was a last minute setup to make the video. 4 kids usually means lots of toys/extra clutter, regardless of whether or not you tidy. When the "kidzzzzzes" get to be teens replace the beds with closets and a reading nook. Then... Why not buy a 10'x10' wall tent that has the additional closed in tent space in front of the sleeping room for play and daytime games, etc.. That is great space for teens. That would solve a privacy problem. They can still have closets and drawers inside. All those with kids that grow too big. This seems like a great solution. Not hard to put up and down. They can listen to their music outside in their tent and be outside and not under parents feet every moment.
This is such a fantastic idea I have three boys and me and my husband always traveled before we had our boys and still ended up moving around the country in the last six years. Literally packing up the car and just going. We love to move around and home school. We used to live in a fifth wheel but couldn't tow it so we ended up miserable in apartments. We missing having our own home and having the freedom of moving and exploring.
Great conversion , love the sliding door bath idea . I saw another conversion that used a marine skylight in the shower to give you more headroom . Happy travels !
Very nice L-shaped couch. Nice home features! For those without kids the kids bedroom area could be a second room or room that is a bed/desk combo before the bedroom. In that case, as a single person, it's fantastic
Yeap. I am claustrophobic, so that kind of arrangement wouldn't go well with me. Plus, it really is in the way, if you know what I mean. Suppose one of the kids has a nap during the day, it's kind of awkward to move around. I like the kitchen though.

They were straight about things good and bad. He was a hoot and I mean that in a good way. And a lot of good information. I did think about the rust thing when he started. good parenting will instill good principles in their child or children so they grow an learn to love themselves, be themselves, learn the different stages of life and accept the fact that everyone does not peak or excel at the same time. hence the reason for fast bloomers and late bloomers . they would learn not to compare themselves with other peoples and the things they possess; but to be content with whatever it is that they have and use it as a stepping stone and a motivation to aspire and achieve greater things in life:)
If you wanted a little added security around the open shelving you could try using the cup hooks that have a clasp & chicken wire (or any cheap metal garden fencing). You'd have to use a drill and screw a few around above & below & then you could attach the fencing/wire while driving. And you could stand it up behind everything when stationary.
What I found interesting is that by living in one they discovered more needed changes as their life changed. My father built a new home for my mother about every 5 yrs and I recall her saying that you never get the perfect house because life isn't perfect and always changing, therefore the needs.
Look into a minisplit A/C with a ceiling cassette. Very energy efficient. Paint roof white with an elastomeric coating of some sort or something similar. Insulate the roof...tons of heat radiating through that steel.
Guys they probably leave one of the doors open at night while the kids are sleeping I'm sure they don't just shut them in like that actually it seems like they're doing a really good job
Love the beautiful John Muir print by your entrance:) I really enjoyed getting to finally see your home like this after seeing all your wonderful photos on instagram! You guys have done a great job! Best of wishes on your future endeavors!!
What is it about you roadies and the word "kidzes"? If you are home schooling, do your kids a favor and don't give them improper words to filter through. Nice job on the bus and I agree completely with 'on the road' life education being better and more fulfilling. One question, why no solar panels on the roof?
Give me s break! I am Owner of a small Childcare that includes children kindergarten through 5 th grade. These kids go to public school every day and their language skills leave a lot to be desired and their spelling is appalling. If these “kidzes” only problem is saying kidzes then I say Good Job to the parents! They both seem to have strong language skills with a wide range of word usage. I understood everything they said!
@@lannalane4247 It certainly wouldn't be the first time that someone accidentally made a grammatical error in front of a camera, then others formed an entire consensus based on one mishap. Consider the remarkable percentage of grammatical and spelling errors made just in comment sections, where people have the *freedom* to proof read, spell check, and make corrections before ever hitting REPLY. Speaking to a camera, with minimal preparation, right after a serious mechanical breakdown, knowing thousands will be viewing, begs for context consideration. From my perspective, that couple seems extremely poised, innovative, resourceful, highly intelligent, and very thoughtful parents/caretakers. Point is, one mistake caught on camera does not absolutely define a *whole* person, and their capabilities to lesson plan, teach from a curriculum, and properly educate in a virtually one on one setting. God forbid, I was filmed any day of the week, then judged on a 5 minute snapshot, having one out of at least a dozen lesser redeeming moments of my day. C'mon man. You need to reconsider. Do you really want to be judged by that same measure ?
I'd go crazy there really is a lot of room in there for those kids. They're still little so it probably works but wait till they get older they're going to need their privacy. This reminds me of camping in a motorhome which I did as a child I did it couple times a year for a week I wouldn't want to live in one
@@TheWhimsicalFamilyHomestead No they won't. Kids don't remain kids. People develop different needs and tolerances as they get older. They're a cute family but this won't work out for much longer.
@@lanadellover9349 First in general I do agree with you for my family. I don't think I could live in a tiny house or bus. I know our oldest would hate it! Second if this is how they are raised they absolutely can live like that forever. The way we live is new, even up till the 50's every kids didn't have their own room and own bathroom. I did a quick Google search, average house size in 1950's was around 1000sq ft and now apparently it's 2600 sq ft. Basically it feels like a necessity that a family of 6 should have at least 3 or 4 rooms and 2+ bathrooms, it isn't really a need. People were living a long time before the advent of the American McMansion.

I would to have love to see the inside of the kids bunk could you please show next time
Almost last minute video that's where all the mess is 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That’s the perfect place for it ! We’re not livin in DISNEYLAND for gosh sakes.
The AC is totally in the way!! This bus would benefit tremendously from a roof raise! Blessings, happy & safe travels ✨🙏🏼✨😊
Beautiful bus! I love how there are actual rooms. I really wanted to see the kids bunks though!
Truly a beautiful home conversion! Love it better then a tiny house it's much larger!
Great tour you guys. We’re a homeschooling family as well. Much love! ❤️
I'm glad this works for you and yours. I hope you've been ignoring the ignorant comments and enjoying road life to the fullest.
No hate or anything but those doors on the bunks make them look like coffins
I just ordered a wallet! Looking forward to receiving it.
It's all super cool but am I the only one who thought "coffin" when I saw the kids beds?
Lol. I suppose the slide open one of those doors when they are actually in bed. 😀 claustrophobic otherwise ..yeeeikes
Yesss I instantly got Claustrophobic
Yeap. I am claustrophobic, so that kind of arrangement wouldn't go well with me. Plus, it really is in the way, if you know what I mean. Suppose one of the kids has a nap during the day, it's kind of awkward to move around. I like the kitchen though.
Not really. I loved spaces like that when I was a kid!
My exact thought lol
Beautiful Family God Bless your Family. I love the way y'all are so in Love that's Cool.
Nice build. I’m hoping to build one soon so I found many things you’ve done very helpful.
Happy trails!
Great family. Team of innovative husband wife. God bless you and prayers to your success in business.
Really didn't like this one, it felt so claustrophobic
I think they should have raise the roof. Also, to the front kitchen living room area didn't look claustrophobic at all
Stupid video. The wife looks miserable.
@@saranyasrinivasan3089 you sound miserable
Same , especially the beds for the kids. 😩
R u the one living in it leave them alone ass hole
Super rad!!! I love the kid bunks! Thanks for sharing
Inspiring lifestyle, but also inspiring - morning and evening prayer - love it.
Sounds like you guys have a great time. Learning as you go and loving it.
those bunks look like coffins...
I just said the same thing
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Mann almost looks like child abuse..
They do NOT look like coffins Some people are just miserable and find something wrong about everything. If I gave some of yall a million bucks today, you complain about tha color of tha money!!😂Go live your own dreams negative Nancy and Ned
@@marvisfloyd3198 what were we complaining about...we have opinions....just like you just did....🚧
I have to agree with heading up north in the summer. I live in Phoenix. I have desert camped in the summer but it is easier up north. They did a great job. They were straight about things good and bad. He was a hoot and I mean that in a good way. And a lot of good information. I did think about the rust thing when he started. Buy one from the southwest desert area no rust.
idk...I wouldve hated this as a kid, I would've wanted friends from school, and to have privacy
April Stjames Not everyone likes to do that alone. Some like to share.
Share what?
Privacy with 3 siblings? That would require a really huge house!
good parenting will instill good principles in their child or children so they grow an learn to love themselves, be themselves, learn the different stages of life and accept the fact that everyone does not peak or excel at the same time. hence the reason for fast bloomers and late bloomers . they would learn not to compare themselves with other peoples and the things they possess; but to be content with whatever it is that they have and use it as a stepping stone and a motivation to aspire and achieve greater things in life:)
I don't think they are isolated. Once in a lifetime opportunity to explore US as a family. Everyone different though!
If you wanted a little added security around the open shelving you could try using the cup hooks that have a clasp & chicken wire (or any cheap metal garden fencing). You'd have to use a drill and screw a few around above & below & then you could attach the fencing/wire while driving. And you could stand it up behind everything when stationary.
mlsflamingowi Or even a bungy cord between those hooks. Good idea.
Good thought. We have bot had much trouble since we moved to open shelving except for our books
This is the best Bus Life video ever. You two are so cute.
I want to convert an old City bus into my home. I believe that I can do it 😊
Suggestion : For any wall or any cabinet side - - *Chalkboard Paint* Not only for schooling the kids, but scheduling reminders and such.
Excellent!
What is it about you roadies and the word "kidzes"? If you are home schooling, do your kids a favor and don't give them improper words to filter through. Nice job on the bus and I agree completely with 'on the road' life education being better and more fulfilling. One question, why no solar panels on the roof?
Bob Texan solar panels are up there, not sure why that wasn't mentioned. Funny catch up kidses, probably nervous in front of camera
Bob Texan - maybe just part of the vernacular of that part of the US. We all knew what they meant.
@@kathleenoverton3263 I'm sorry, but someone qualified to teach does not use the word "kidsus".
A beautiful family and a wonderful bus home.
I'd go crazy there really is a lot of room in there for those kids. They're still little so it probably works but wait till they get older they're going to need their privacy. This reminds me of camping in a motorhome which I did as a child I did it couple times a year for a week I wouldn't want to live in one
Lisa Lanham when kids get older they will already be use to living this way.. so it wont effect them.
Aren't there windows in the bunk areas? It looked, from the outside, like all the windows were preserved.
Christina M you know, those windows are blacked out and there is an insulated wall all along their bunk area.so they are comfortable.
Great use of space! Love it. *****However, not have AC going down the road, would cause me to get out a bottle of wine. Other than NO AC, love it 🥰 I just know all your friends are happy to see you pull in their driveway ❤️
Seems like this is a hippie’s dream come true. Damn Hippies!!! Lmao
Cute couple. Very informative.
