One of the few episodes I've seen where the parents aren't actually ridiculously in love with control over their kids. They seem really genuine and kind.
I don't understand parents who think they "own" their kids. Especially once their kids really hit those vital ages, exerting that much control will only damage them now and later in life.
Now, this is how it's done... They show so much respect to the Kids, they don't focus on trivial things such as clothing, they focus on showing trust and giving people confidence!! AMAZING!!
This couple seems to have some real smarts, they're nice and respectful and don't worry about things like clothing, etc. And they understand that things like smoking are an addiction, and don't disrespect the children for it.
@@kimb0175 You may be correct, but we had bigger issues to work with here. Adding withdrawal from tobacco would only have complicated matters. We kept the cigarettes, and doled them out as we saw fit. We saw no reason to make our guests more uncomfortable than they already were. Joe.

Wow. This is the best episode I’ve ever seen. The foster parents exude so much love and respect toward their kids and others without forcing their values upon others. They are an example to other parents. So much respect and admiration for them!
I love this episode. This family were not cringeworthy overly religious or cultish parents. Just loving and empathetic parents! This is real love here!
This is hands down my favourite episode. Made me cry the first time I watched it. Such lovely teens and such lovely parents. Just strict enough to have the boundaries for life that these children need. So so caring and understanding. They clearly did this to help the children as their top priority as they invited her to stay an extra 2 weeks and flew all the way to England with her to talk to her mam. What truly wonderful people.
Wow, not to sound lame but this was beautiful. Like, truly wholesome and kudos to those parents for 100% caring for those teens wellbeing. The girl even looked healthier at the end of the episode, I’m so curious to know how they’re doing now.
At the start when you the one dad said " we are not their friends" I was shocked and cant imagine not being my sons friend but then at the end of the episode I understood what he meant
@@livl5168 Children need their parents to be parents (teach them right from wrong) before they need their parents to be their friends. They can be there to support and guide them without being their friends.
Hay.j- I absolutely agree. Your children can make friends with anyone else in the world, but only YOU, the parent, can raise them up to be happy, successful, productive, members of society.
This is my favorite episode of this series! Wes and Tamsin weren’t absolutely horrible people starting out, they just needed to learn responsibility and respect for themselves and authority figures. The biggest fight they got into with Scott and Joe was about the drug test and that wasn’t even super heated. Scott and Joe weren’t overly strict and didn’t make their kids become out of touch with reality. And they never had out of this world punishments they just stood firm with their rules and made sure their kids knew that. BUT they weren’t scary and seemed to care deeply about the kids including Wes and Tamsin. Hell Scott wanted Tamsin to stay longer just to make sure she’s perfect going back.
This is the best episode yet. Most the time the parents are yelling and mean. But this couple was so patient and caring. And even allowing her to stay so she can heal more is amazing. These men are amazing fathers
These are literally the best parents I have seen on this show. They are calm, patient, and understanding. You can tell that they really care about the kids and their own children and they also respect them while still having reasonable boundaries. Their children are going to grow up so well.
This is one of the few episodes where I didn’t find myself rooting against the parents. These men where incredible, they only care about making sure their children are happy, healthy, functional members of society

jdlcmco And so are you buddy 😊!!
There's a special place in heaven for these men, especially Scott❤️
Wow. This is the best episode I’ve ever seen. The foster parents exude so much love and respect toward their kids and others without forcing their values upon others. They are an example to other parents. So much respect and admiration for them!
Wes spending time with Trey was absolutely precious
When Wes cried while he was with the kid, I balllleeeddd
Mackenzie Eliece same! How sweet 🥺
I thought it was just me lol
I love this episode. This family were not cringeworthy overly religious or cultish parents. Just loving and empathetic parents! This is real love here!
The way they helped tamsin made me emotional. What lovely people 😭
Notice how no one fought in this episode 😂
fight. guess I ran out of available space.
Except in the beggining with the drug test
Even the disagreement with the drug test wasn’t even that heated
I love how Wes instead of not wanting to take care of the neighbors kids he just played and was smiling.
I love how when they were trying to wake up the boy they put the pug on him and were so nice about it
Boys who can not aim correctly will SIT😂 12:30
he straight up exposed his other kids 😂
BWHAHAHAH
That was funny 😆🤣😂
I would LUV to see these men do this with different people. These guys shoudl definitely be therapists
As they live in sin together

I love this couple! And as foster parents, just imagine how many lives they’ve impacted in similar ways.
Scott and I have had approximately three dozen children pass through our home, for varying lengths of time. Joe.
jdlcmco what was the shortest and what the longest length?
Same
Oh, by the way, I've told my daughters the same thing..............I'm not your friend, I'm your mom.
The girl even looked healthier at the end of the episode, I’m so curious to know how they’re doing now.
someone else said how Scott has them listed as his son and daughter on his Facebook and went to visit her and her baby in Paris in 2017!
At the start when you the one dad said " we are not their friends" I was shocked and cant imagine not being my sons friend but then at the end of the episode I understood what he meant
What did he mean

Hay.j- I absolutely agree. Your children can make friends with anyone else in the world, but only YOU, the parent, can raise them up to be happy, successful, productive, members of society.
@@hanniestories8799 that's not how that works.
"Our children have fought us and we won" lol that's an awesome quote for any parent to say and then Wesley's face hahahahaha
These two men are not strict Parents, they're GOOD ones! I want to live with them and I'm an adult! lol
The two dads and their parenting style makes me really happy, pls adopt me too
This is one of the few episodes where I didn’t find myself rooting against the parents. These men where incredible, they only care about making sure their children are happy, healthy, functional members of society
This episode has stayed with me for about 10 years. So glad to have found it again and hope they're all doing amazing.
Definitely one of the best examples of care for the British kids in this series. You can really tell that they care about these kids.
