Support the Channel Check out my store :) Before his capture, Todd was a Wraith of some political standing; after being freed he is in loose command of about a dozen Hive ships (out of at least sixty in the galaxy), and these had remained loyal to him during his imprisonment, implying that he used to command even more, most probably because he is at least 10,000 years old. He notes that his time spent in Commander Acastus Kolya's prison diminished his standing among the Wraith, further supporting the notion that he held a great deal of influence before. He is also an adept scientist, having a significant understanding of nanite coding as well as Wraith technology.

Todd was the most intelligent wraith. Not just by knowledge, but with the most common sense. He understood humans weren’t animals to be fed on, but was a hunter who respected his prey.
Todd was a good character.
I loved his comedic element! I think he was the only funny Wraith
@@StargateOmega Yes. I suppose the Wraith weren't particularly known for their sense of humor. Although some of them seemed to enjoy practicing a little bit of sarcasm when dealing with humans (like the Wraith who visited the fat magistrate in the episode Condemned).
I also liked how Christopher Heyerdahl played both Todd the Wraith & Halling the Athosian villager.
I love that episode! I love to see that fat magistrate get his Just Desserts moo hoo ha ha
@@jacksonheathen2092 Heyerdahl does that frequently in his shows. He played 2 main characters in Sanctuary at the same time. It was pretty awesome.
@@StargateOmega I found the Defiant one exceptionally funny too, though. But he was more the kind of old slapstick humor.
I absolutely miss Todd the Wraith, they gave him such a great twisted sense of humor. What an unforgettable character!
I loved his sense of humor, it took me off guard cuz he played it so straight I thought it was serious for a second. It was much funnier the second time I watched the show😎👍

Todd was a good man. He made good friends with John Shepard by acts of great trust. You have a good knowledge of Todd's history. That was a great episode when Sheppard and Todd escaped from the Jenai.
I just HATE how disrespectively Shepherd treats Todd after Common Ground...makes him look like a giant douche nozzle

Such a waste of a good character and race, with so much potential, but they just decided to stay at the surface, typical of an old fashioned show, Todd is my fav.
Todd is one of my favorite in Atlantis. I love his relationship with Shephard and the team. I would like to see more of Todd and the Atlantis team working together and helping each other with that touch of caution between them. I am very exited about the new filming of Atlantis, just hoping there are no changes in the original cast and the relationships. Additions and new worlds to explore are always welcome. Great entertainment and wonderful suspense. Thank you all for your hard work for us.

Still bugs the crap out of me they never revealed his true Wraith name. I’m like 89 percent sure Wraith have their own given names otherwise, how else would they identify each other among themselves?
According to the stargate Atlantis books his name was guide witch has some meaning in wraith but this is not cannon.
What Cindy The best cat says. According to the Stargate Atlantis books, wraithnames are sort of a telepathic signature. As no normal signature is the same, neither is a telepathic signature. It is what the wraith feels like in the mind, so to speak. Kenny for instance is accociated with the white of dry bones, thus he is named Bonewhite. Lastlight (Michael) is accociated with the last light before nightfall, and so most names speak for themselves. Even Teyla, as wraithkin due to experimentation on her ancestors has a wraithname: Steelrose, according to the books. Guide and Sheppard are sort of the same. They are both leaders, shepherds of their own flock.
It's a pity that this is not cannon, because it's a damn good premise and very believable.
@@JillWouters Actually, according to the wiki, the books do seem to be considered Canon. But it is a shame we'll never get to see it fleshed out on screen.
The Wraith name themselves after their role in the Hive. Todd's true name was Guide.
@@chrisevans6548hopefully one day we will the book should be Canon since they're perfect and I wouldn't be surprised if these were actually the plans for season 6 but since it was canceled for stupid reasons they continue the story in book form and thus they should adapt the books since it was obviously probably going to be on screen anyway.
I always liked to imagine that Todd was one of the first Wraith the lanteans ran into and that it was his Queen that was sitting at the bottom of the ocean. It was his plan that finally defeated the lanteans. That he has been behind-the-scenes the entire time with his "I'm too old for this shit" sigh when dealing with the talking monkeys.

and that sucked, would have really preferred if they kept the wraith scary/mysterious and intimidating

@@kyle18934yeah and there are still plenty about the wraith that we do not know so they pretty much still have a lot of mystery around them and they are still quite intimidating.
The guy who played him was also in Stargate SG 1 as Pallan for 1 episode and Halling in earlier Atlantis episodes....

Todd never felt like a villain to me yes he probably does suck the life out of people but only it's because of his nature I read that he's one of the few rays that see it as a necessary and don't really take sadistic pleasure out of it like many of his brothers do.
The drawing around his left eye is the Spaceman(Ace) makeup design from KISS
Its a shame that Atlantis never had a proper ending. I want to see more of Todd.

Fun fact according to the book Todd's real name is guide and thus we shall call him todd the guide and I can see why he's called Guide he's got a quite a way of getting things done lol.

Thanks so much for featuring one of my Fav SG Atlantis characters. I bought my 5 DVD Atlantis series set way back 2010. I think this is my third time to watch the whole thing again (Last was 2014) =D I could swear this Wraith is Johhhnnn...Sheppppard's best friend =D I keep laughing every time he says Sheppard's name whether he's really doing it on purpose to insult or Cmdr Todd is really just plain Psycho. Even on the other earth when Detective Sheppard meets him and he's gone mad with starvation, it's still the same. Johhhnnn Sheppparrrd...LOL

think Todd long term plan that after tale people spreed out galley . he was change any humans related tale would turn into wrath. wrath be reborn. this foiled when Todd put deep sleep ice. and earth spreed tale people separate universe.
So, I've watched Atlantis several times, and I never noticed his tattoo.
Todd was never given a proper series finale. Just a lot of "If" type endings for everyone to argue about or have civil discussions over.
There is no doubt to me Sheppard murdered Todd at the end.
A really great ending would have shown Sheppard coming out with Todd to show him Earth with the rest of the cast on the balcony. While all the crew of Atlantis crowding balconies of Atlantis.
it was a very lame ending. Seriously done on the cheap.
Sheppard had become far to used to killing, murdering Todd after he got them back to Earth would have been something he would do without blinking an eye. Todd was a terrific character and like all the other aliens who have become great additions to Stargate Command, and not necessarily on an SG Team, but he would have had his uses and abilities put to good use and maybe after a year or to on Earth with excursions to see all of Earth from, say a Jumper, and ever mingled with humans at cosplay conventions and even taken out on Halloween for a real treat, if you will excuse the pun.
Heck he could have even had an episode with him as the main character.
The writers wasted a great opportunity had the shown gone on to a different STARGATE series of which there are a multitude of ideas, with Todd.
By the way I NEVER liked Sheppard's character as he came across as a male Mary Sue, NOR McKays. and there was NEVER any real chemistry between him and Jewel's Dr. Keller nor with Ronon.
I'm asking what happened to him and the Wraith, in Stargate Univers.

If you get a chance check out Stargate Atlantis it is fantastic! I think I read somewhere that they didn't know it was going to be canceled until halfway through season 5 oh, so the last half of the season was a little rushed but they did complete the story.
Yeah I saw a good bit of Atlantis. At the end of your video it was a bit vague and I felt like you were hinting at that Todd was executed by Earth.
Whoops sorry about that, I think he was just imprisoned or last known whereabouts was in Atlantis.

to solve this problem, there's 8 books written to tell what happened after. Only 6 are interesting, the last 2 are boring and serve no real purpose.

I might be wrong, but I want to say I remember hearing Shepherd ask one of them their names oh, and they said you can't pronounce them or something. Which is why he started naming them but I could be wrong I don't know for sure.😎👍
Stargate Omega I agree and remember the same conversation when they had caught one and had it locked up and loved how Shepherd always gave them their names.
You would think through the years we would have heard one of them call each other something - even if we didn’t understand it.
Maybe they didn’t want to create a whole new Wrath language.

@@StargateOmega I remember Kenny. He was one of Todd's lieutenants. I think Shepard also gave another Wraith a name on the episode "Midway" (but I forget it was).
They had the perfect opportunity to kill Kenny over and over again on Stargate and didn't take it LOL

No I don't, I will put that on the list. I actually hated that guy in the series I thought they should have killed him the first time they saw him and then every time they saw him. But he was a good bad guy for sure. Great suggestion thank you😎👍

@@billylyons7212I love Ronan but he always definitely had the annoying attitude but still after what he went through from his home world and losing his girlfriend and being made a runner for 7 years I can't really blame on how he feels against The wraith I even think Todd would understand maybe even sympathize since Todd is not as evil and heartless as the rest of his kind and is more human than he knows.
