Class of 3000 was such an underrated classic, it was filled with tonnes of brilliant songs of many different genres that really opened up my mind as a young kid.
Yah and I was surprised the characters didn't make it in CN popular online game fusion fall . I would have loved to see how they look with more details on their clothes and looks .
This show has one of my favorite jokes of all time and I still don't know why it works as well as it does. "Hey Philly Phil, you got any construction grade explosives?" "Better than that, I got destruction grade!"
In simple terms, Andre 3000 is cool. Him being an executive producer allowed him to leave his mark all over it, and it most definitely shows. You have an incredibly cultured artist, one firmly confident in his own status, and creative control being put in the hands of people who know what to do with it, and it got plenty of different kinds of music into the ears of kids growing up. It's excellence in execution. It's only real crime was coming out at a bad time. May the whole 2 seasons come out of limbo one day for the masses to enjoy once more.
Class of 3000 is a gem for a music lover. True, there’s moments that don’t land and Kim Kam Jam is not one of the best songs but this is still one of the best celebrity toons I’ve seen.
Agreed. One thing I’d have to disagree with him on though: I listened to the Crayon song and thought it was ok. Better than I expected, solo in particular.
Class Of 3000 was one of the many cartoons that made my childhood! It was so much fun to watch especially for the musical scenes, And even though it still sucks that it was cancelled it was nice while it lasted!
This show was.... different. Not great, not bad, just different. At least that's how I feel looking back on it. I definitely still remember it after all these years

Eddie's Money is seriously one of my favorites too! Great life lesson there. Eddie is super sweet, he's not mean....like some of the other rich kids in media.

I love Outkast music group, I grew up listening to a lot of their music like "So Fresh So Clean", "Hey Ya", or "The Way You Move", so it was nice to see a cartoon based off Andre 3000 from the group, plus, Outkast originated from Atlanta, where Cartoon Network also originated from as well along with the Turner networks, well fitting! Anyways, yeah, unfortunately a lot of the CN original series that debuted thru-out the mid 00's City era didn't get the recognition with the exception of Foster's Home and Ben 10. But Class of 3000 was one of those heavily underrated series from that time period (and Camp Lazlo was too).
Not to mention, Class also has lost CN City bumpers as well! It wasn’t just the Throwdown one that was made. Yes, the rabbit hole goes even deeper than one thinks……
A Class of 3000 review from Mr Enter?? Hell yeah! I was *obsessed* with this show when I was a kid! I still remember exactly where I was when it premiered!👏
I used to watch Class of 3000 all the time, and what made it better for me is that I was still in middle school band class when it was on the air, too! It just felt great.
I remember enjoying this show as a kid, but I'm surprised how well it apparently holds up. So many things I remember could've been annoying or done to death. Glad the people behind this show were able to make it work. A shame it just stopped airing out of nowhere. I could see myself going to rewatch it if it was officially uploaded online like Code Lyoko does.
this show was truly one of a kind. there's so much LIFE to it-- the animation, music, characters...it's just fantastic. you can tell how much care was put into every bit of it and the positive energy is absolutely infectious
To this day, like almost twenty years later, I still can't get "Everybody do the crayon, crayon" out of my head. The song was so repetitive it stuck into my brain for 1/5 of a century!
I remembered this show because throughout my life, there were barely any kids shows about boys that looked like me. Sure, there was That's So Raven, True Jackson and The Proud Family, but there weren't enough shows that centered around black males. After Static Shock, Filmore and Kenan and Kel ended, all I had was this show, Cory in the House and Just Jordan, which I didn't care for along with Romeo or Cousin Skeeter cuz I was scared of puppets at the time. Thank God for Craig of the Creek cuz I related to him more than Kenan, Kel, Romeo, Lil D or any black male character from the past. On top of that, I loved the concept of the show by using different art styles AND music styles for different music videos. I wish other cartoons picked up on this idea but I know how expensive that would be. I was already an OutKast fan as a kid and this show made me love them even more. Anyone else think someone from Pixar has seen this show and came up with the idea of Joe from Soul? The entire show NEEDS to be released on HBO Max cuz I hate that I have to look at random websites to find unaired episodes. Lost Media Wiki is your BFF.
YAY! I'm so glad you reviewed this! I feel like only you could create the perfect video giving this show the praise it deserves! God I miss that show! T_T I too loved all the characters and the plots and I still quote so many lines from that show. Perfect review!
Honestly I'm glad that this show got talked about. I loved it when I saw it and I'm honestly surprised this never was talked about. How it ended is honestly a breath of fresh air in a way. I do hope that Cartoon network rereleases it on their app or HBO max.
It was an interesting and enjoyable cartoon network show that I remember well, with a lot of great music and songs. André 3000 is a very talented singer and I'm glad he got to make his own cartoon show to share his musical talent to others. This show deserved so much better.
I remember Class of 3000 very fondly and loved each episode, heck even to this day I still remember some of the songs. It's sad that Cartoon Network has never acknowledged the show aside from a Twitter post and I think they should release some of the songs on TH-cam. If I had the chance to rewatch the show for the first time again, I would gladly take it. 🎶
This show was not given the marketing attention it deserved for season two. A bunch of episodes I didn’t even know premiered and came across them in reruns, like that big foot episode. Loved this show back in the day, thanks for the nostalgia.
I'm here, just having come out of the "Hi it's me" video after a long, LONG time of not watching any of your vids--last I watched, I must've been like, 14 (almost EIGHT YEARS AGO?? GOD i'm getting OLD) and i was surprised when i went back a page and saw a new video. i mean yeah, this is an Admirable Animation ep, it's literally the newest vid i've seen of yours in years, but god. the energy you have in this, even the talksprites you use. I probably can't be one to judge after not watching for so long but it really feels like you've turned a new leaf, especially after watching the "hi it's me" vid. idk i don't even really know where i'm going with this comment at this point. video good. subbed for more. potatoes
It's nice to see basically a self-insert show done with love and respect for their audience. ...As opposed to today, where a lot of celebrity-produced shows seem to serve solely as mouthpieces for their executive producers(Santa Inc, Velma, Our Cartoon President, Fairview, etc.)
The only time i heard of this show, was during the end credits of "KND / Billy & Mandy Crossover", teasing "Class of Numbuh 3000" as a future fake crossover. And when i saw the original title (like 5 to 10 years ago, more or less when i was in highschool), i thought "is this show about someone transported to the year 3000 and taking classes there" ?
I remember tuning into the premier of Class of 3000 on a day I was home sick from School. I'd forgotten about it sense. Thank you for the Memory Jog, Mr. Enter
I know you might not see this but I just want to say I have a massive amount of respect for you. You're a true soldier despite all of your struggles and that is very admirable. I don't care what anyone says it takes true maturity to own up to your mistakes and improve. Everyone makes mistakes but most will either never admit them or never improve. I would bet anything half the people hating would make the same mistakes if put in your position. Even though it seems like there's been a massive amount of hate, real people can intuitively tell whether your genuine or not through the screen. No matter what, remember there are people out there who understand. Just keep chugging
Man, the hype for Class of 3000 was off the charts. Watching Cartoon Network in 2006, there wasn't a single commercial break that didn't have snippets of that theme song or Throwdown in it somewhere, Fridays had Andre 3000 in to talk about the show on several occasions, every other CN City bump had Class of 3000 in it, the website was completely plastered in Class of 3000 banners, there were so many previews/sneak peaks that I think they probably aired the most of the first episode bit by bit out of order including the entirety of Throwdown. The show's premiere was this big huge hour-long event at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, complete with celebrity guest performances and even a full-on orchestra preforming (what else) Throwdown in the lead up to the episode's showing. There was whole red carpet thing with Andre making a flashy entrance, a total media blitz, it was insane. It was such a huge thing, you'd think they'd be hosting the friggin' Oscars or something.
This might be a fever dream of the show, but I remember this hilarious clip when this dude yells out "I'm evaporating! Evaporating! Evaporating...!" and literally evaporates. Then returns to normal. If someone has a clip of that I'd love to see it.
This show was so enjoyable. Very short lived and not many remember it unfortunately. But some of the songs to this day get stuck in my head from time to time.
Ahh, class of 3k it always stood out to me even in the 2000s from something like Camp Lazlo and Foster’s. Nothing even comes close to it in terms of style. It’s also a celebrity toon but it doesn’t feel anything like a cash grab despite what others may think. Class of 3000 seriously needs more love, I miss it. I’m surprised that you didn’t talk about it being acknowledged by Cartoon Network after 15 years in a recent Black History Month video. Sunny even made the thumbnail!
I WATCHED THIS SHOW AS A KID! I was watching it one day and it felt like it was just gone the next, almost to the point I began to wonder if it was even real. Thank you for finding this gem and bringing it to light. I can now rest knowing I wasn’t crazy.
This and Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi are underrated shows. They have a spot on my top 10 Cartoon Network shows. I'm glad I rewatched Class of 3000 back in 2017.
This show was🔥. It's one of my top 28 favorite cartoon series. I even created an OC (basically a female 12 year old gothic cousin of Eddie's who tends to jump scare him, always talks about the supernatural, has long blonde done in pigtails with big dark-blue bows and a black and purple gothic lolita dress. She can sing like an angel and play the theremin, and has a crush on the Swedish janitor) and fanfic when I first saw this in middle school. Sometimes I work on it now and then Favorite Characters 1. Edward "Eddie" Phillip James Lawrence III 2. Jannet "Jan" Rongeteis (the Swedish janitor) 3. Phillip "Philly" P. Phil 4. Principal Luna Favorite Songs *Throwdown *Oh, Peanuts *Richer Shade of Blue *Luna Love *Crayon *Cool Kitty
WOW! I remember being SO excited for the premiere in elementary school! I even brought it up to the whole class. Finding out others were just as excited as I was felt awesome After it got cancelled Johnny Test took over
This show got my little brother into music when he was little. My dad brought him a drumset and he would play it everyday like he was Lil D, until it broke, unfortunately. I remember him being so sad, but when once he got older, he would join his highschool band.
the fact that I'm a big OutKast fan AND a big cartoon fan and never heard of this show until you brought it up probably say something about the way it was treated.
Part of why this show works is andre is actually a cool dude who isn't into celebritty so much as culture the hey ya video is famously a oarody of 60s pop music particularly the beatles ed sullivan appearance and james browns live at the apollo and he also played jimi hendrix in an amazing biopic that was so out of the formula for pop music biopics
I remember there was so much hype for this show. Ads and commercials were everywhere, it even had one of those little timers in the lower right corner of the screen during other shows counting down to the premier. While I can't say the show was one of my favorites, I was excited whenever it was on, and a lot of the songs are still stuck in my head to this day. Phineas and Ferb may be a better show, but Class of 3000 was a cut above the rest during the time it came out on Cartoon Network.
I wouldn't go as far as to call Class of 3000 one of my *favorite* cartoons ever, but I definitely liked it as a kid, and can still safely say I appreciate it years later. The diverse cast, the songs--plus, Sunny Bridges was one of the coolest teachers ever.
I really like this show when I was kid. Mainly because it had drums and drums was the way to get my undivided attention when I was younger. I think that 2000s nostalgia is why I love the outkast today.
Fun Fact: the episode where the record company (personified by the literal devil) tries to steal Andre's soul is the one episode of this show that I've seen, because every time the show came on and I was there to watch it, it was THAT episode.
I for some reason thought class of 3000 was just a wild fever dream in my childhood. I thought it was pretty good show. Always wondered why I never saw or heard of it after the mid 2000’s
I remember watching this show when I was a kid in the early 2000s. I'm 23 now (born on January 26, 2000 if you were wondering) and this show was kinda big but not really. I remember the theme song. I miss this show.
This cartoon deserves more attention. It’s surprising good for a celebrity based cartoon, and has likable characters, and good education on the history of music. Take notes, Hammerman.
I remember first hearing about it back in 2006 (and jokingly thought that it wouldn't be around until the year 3000). I got to see it, take in some great things, and as quickly as I got into it, it just disappeared.
The myth about the lawsuit reminds me of the myths of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds production, such as the shift to sci-fi and one love interest being demoted to extra because her voice actress was found to be part of a cult (happened after production wrapped up), the main female character taking a reduced role because her voice actress was pregnant (said pregnancy happening five years after the show's production was finished) to Crow initially being planned as a Dark Signer and then abruptly made a main character because the archetype he used became popular (it was because the director liked him).
Enter my man, you just can't jive with the Kim Kam Jam. It's got that bad noodling jam, baby. It's got those hot licks. It's a real jumpin' cat's piece. It's cool though, no need to wig out. You don't gotta be hip to the torch.
Sunny was basically the Willy Wonka of Music, dishing out life lessons and ironic punishments to those that needed them. Anyone remember the chalk thieves that ended up in a cage drawn with magic chalk?
Glad to see so many other people who remember this show! It was a big deal to me at 14. Hard to believe that it’s 16 years old this year. I’ll go ahead and admit it: I had a weird crush on Philly Phil. Also, TIL that Tom Kenny voiced Eddie!!!
I definitely always remember the show, even if the name escapes me for the longest time. I think the episode I remembered the most was “Am I Blue” and the song “Crayon” from that episode.
Class of 3000 was such an underrated classic, it was filled with tonnes of brilliant songs of many different genres that really opened up my mind as a young kid.

WOW! I remember being SO excited for the premiere in elementary school! I even brought it up to the whole class. Finding out others were just as excited as I was felt awesome
After it got cancelled Johnny Test took over
This show got my little brother into music when he was little.
Really wish I could find an HD version of this show
Great job John, I'm proud of you!
I loved watching this show growing up it was perfect
Sometimes I think I just imagined this show happened… but I could never forget that banger, throw down!
Finally, someone is talking about this cartoon, really ty
Agreed, this was a good show that deserved better.
Fun Fact: the episode where the record company (personified by the literal devil) tries to steal Andre's soul is the one episode of this show that I've seen, because every time the show came on and I was there to watch it, it was THAT episode.
Weirdly the Kim Kam jam is the only song I remember. But I couldn't watch this show to much growing up
Shame that it's hard to find footage of this show nowadays.
I thought this show would suck, ended up being one of my favorite cartoons
God I remember watching this show as a kid, it even had great music to boot. Never really knew what happened after a while.
Flash back to the past! I forgot about this show! Thank you for reminding me of it with your review!
If I remember right andre 3000 was done with it and wanted to go off and do other projects....this happens a lot
I remember first hearing about it back in 2006 (and jokingly thought that it wouldn't be around until the year 3000). I got to see it, take in some great things, and as quickly as I got into it, it just disappeared.
"It deserves so much better." I second that.
This is the Kind of CN show that's born to be a Cult Classic.
???
If I had to pick a favorite song from this show, it would be All We Want is Your Soul.
Sunny was basically the Willy Wonka of Music, dishing out life lessons and ironic punishments to those that needed them. Anyone remember the chalk thieves that ended up in a cage drawn with magic chalk?
The blob
4:33 -🥰😘☺😻💓 Madison will always be my favorite character. 💓😻🥰😘☺
6:18 That's not the literal Kool-Aid Man; that's the figurative Kool-Aid Man. As in, a parody of the real thing.
Glad to see so many other people who remember this show! It was a big deal to me at 14. Hard to believe that it’s 16 years old this year. I’ll go ahead and admit it: I had a weird crush on Philly Phil.
Also, TIL that Tom Kenny voiced Eddie!!!
Yeah, wait, no, it’s 17 this year 😅 2006-2023 LOL I feel old. Yes this show had a MARVELOUS voice cast!! Someone has to talk about that! ❤❤❤
I remember my brother and I called it, "My music teacher's a pimp" because of the way the man dressed.
My favorite part was always the songs because I'm super music-oriented; I still remember most of them.
I have this gut feeling that this show will get a revival this decade.
Huh, I didn't know this was a celebrity cartoon. I hadn't heard of that guy.
I honestly didn’t even realize this was a celebrity vehicle as a kid i just found it a good show
I adored this show. And I hated seeing it be randomly taken away.
WE THROW DO-O-OWN. We throw down, hey! We Throw DO-O-OWN?
My childhood evolved thanks to this show.
I love how you can see the shows getting worse at 10:51 from 2007-2008. That's about right; all it took was one year for things to plummet. Fast.
I used to love this show when it aired. I even have the album on my phone.
The animated Andre 3000 looks like a Hershfeld caracture of Gregory Hines.
I definitely always remember the show, even if the name escapes me for the longest time. I think the episode I remembered the most was “Am I Blue” and the song “Crayon” from that episode.
