Another great video- storage hack- front car seat organizers they are great and keep everything organized. Also- if you have a transformable bed area- instead of storing for blankets and sheets in a cupboard- roll them and put it into a zippered pillow case.. very easy to assess and doubles as decoration
If you have 5 gallon buckets for storage of anything, get seat toppers for them. Home Depot used to sell the seat toppers now I can get them at Granger.
Love the outdoor trash. I really need that. Peppermint oil also helps with rodents and spiders. I put drops around the inside my van every few days. Bonus is it smells fresh. - I use either peppermint extract from the baking aisle or peppermint essential oils A+ on hooks. Definitely help keep things tidy. Over the door fabric shoe racks help use up ignored space. I currently have one with my spices and oils since it's close to where my cooker is. Also great for storing cleaning stuff. You can hang them over the back of a seat also if it's not blocked.
You guys are great! I just bought my first adventure Van! It's a 2004 tn1 sprinter passenger van and I love it. Thanks for all your amazing storage hacks!!! Have a good one!
ohhhh we loved our T1N! Frankie wanted to keep it forever and ever :) We are excited for your adventures Sharon! Hope you'll stick around to enjoy a few of ours as well. xo Alex
Yep, get things up, up, up, like those jars (with 2 screws)! 😉 I decided that I’m not trying to build drawers with extra weight ... I’m all over the basket method already, in my house! Regarding the Promaster, which I also bought: I’m 5’4” and I wasn’t sure I would be able to drive it cross-country! Cruise control was a lifesaver! Great tips, guys! 🐶❤️
Lol Anne you're the best. We're gonna add the second screws 🤣 drawers are tricky and have to be super secured, we just added an Extra magnet to ours. You can totally do it!!!! So exciting!!!
Peppermint can be purchased at Home Depot in a spray bottle. It also works for keeping rodents out of your engine comparment. There are many horror stories (even first hand) of rodents storing food and chewing wire of vehicles that are parked for weeks at a time in an urban area.
Yes we've had friends have these issues. They are hard to get out once they get in. Always good to park in places that are tidy and without garbage. I hear dryer sheets in all the holes help too! xo Alex
You might want to keep food in plastic boxes with lids when camping ...like in the desert to keep the mice from driving you crazy at night munching....oh and bring good mouse traps cause the lil fellas can get into most rigs. also i keep cloths in plastic vented baskets that are in my overhead cupboards.
@@ForrestTierce Mice can get into holes the size of a dime. Go underneath and check everywhere anything goes into or out of the van. Holes for wiring, drinking & waste water, vent for propane, and anything attached to the outside, such as exterior light fixtures that may have a rain drain hole in the bottom. Depending on the van configuration, check the firewall between the engine and the interior, especially behind the dashboard. And.... do you ever leave doors or driver side window open? Only takes a few seconds for a curious critter to come in for a tour. Especially if you're parked in their native habitat.
use dryer sheets it keep mice away or the peppermint oil help drive them away also. Luckily we have yet to get those little guys in our van. We dont stay in the same stop long enough tho. Thanks for the tips as well. You rock!
dryer sheets keep the little guys from coming in or the peppermint oil they have deters them as well. You really need to be parked in the same spot for a few day they also like the warmth of the engine so anyway to get the engine to cool down quick is a good trick.
Nice video! Forest, if it’s easy, can you share a link to the magnets you superglued to the outdoor motion-lights? I want to get the size & strength right the first time (I already have your link to the lights themselves from the previous video). Thanks!
Magnets ... magnets .... magnets ... I attached them to the bottom of a fan and I can place it above a cracked window for the dogs ... or hand it on the van outside above their chair or keep the gnats and other buggies off them ... velcro velcro velcro ..... remotes ... chap stick ... my inhaler ...
@@FnAVanLife Awesome! Are you guys building out the ProMaster for yourselves or someone else? If it’s for you two, that’s good too hear that y’all are transferring over to the best of the best 😏😉
Like yours but external ruggedness of Forest and Alex's drives me nuts. Gotta get me one 136 and rig it up as Luna even if it'd be Papy's daily driver... Cool dad i'd be, huh?
I had a loaf of bread (store bought Nature Own Hand Crafted Thick slice) in my van in Florida in July for over a week. Sure the van got up to 120F inside the middle of the day. I was surprised it was still soft, did not have any mold or smell. Had a few sandwiches and it was fine.
Silicon bags are more expensive. Trying convince my step dad to use them for his individual serves of patties and steaks instead of single use plastic zip lock bags isn't going to happen.

I got the Luggable Loo Toilet Seat from REI for that.

That's a great idea! Thanks for sharing that with us. We are getting excited for Canada.
Use cushion covers for storage of bulky soft items, jackets, gloves, beanies, spare towels, bedding etc.
Cool that is a neat tip.
Those are some great hacks, thanks for sharing. Great video. 😊
You're welcome! So glad you enjoyed it!
Very very smart such good ideas......and I love your 🐕 awe.....your van is homely cosy organised you're very lucky safe journeys xx...........
You're too kind Jan - thank you so much!!!
Buy a spray bottle for the peppermint oil. And water it down. Peppermint is super strong and you don't need much.
That is a genius idea Fawn Lisette! Thank you so much for the DIY bug spray idea. - Alex

Do they have a TH-cam channel? I absolutely love their ProMaster, very well done!
Haha. No, we don’t.. we are TH-cam shy...unless we are filming with Frankie and Alex. 😜. You can follow us on IG @luna_thebadassvan, though. 🤗

They are less expensive over time 100%. The more he buys the single use the more the price goes up and up and up.

That background noise is so disturbing.
Yeah, we have learned not to play music while talking, plus our audio wasn't adjustable with the program we had back then.
