    Looks cool. Any idea how much height clearance from the mount to the hood? Wondering if it could accommodate a Smittybilt 2781 on its side

      Thanks! The ARB Twin is approx 4 inches thick/tall. The Smitty may would work laying sideways but not sure how you would attach it.

    just curios, great design but I'm very skeptical of the heat build up under the hood and how this compressor would handle that? I live in Arizona and the summers get 120f. Has this mount been tested long term use in hot climates for the ARB?

    • @813fabricationanddesign
      @813fabricationanddesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have not long-term tested the mount in extreme heat. We believe the mount would be fine. We agree that it gets hot under the hood and it may not be the best location for everyone. We mostly leave it up to the community to decide if it is the right solution for them. Many Jeeps, Tacomas, etc have run them under the hood for years, so we base the heat testing on that reasoning.

    The compressor is my next upgrade with a Genesis dual battery setup on my Gladiator. Will there be enough room for the dual battery rig with this mount?

    • @813fabricationanddesign
      @813fabricationanddesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Ryan, We have one other customer who has installed the compressor plate with the dual battery setup. I believe he had to shift the plate slightly by opening up the holes some but it worked out well for him.

    Was just wondering, have any of your customers fit an ARB twin compressor on the Gladiator Mojave using this mount without rubbing? The hood is slightly different on the Mojave models.

    • @813fabricationanddesign
      @813fabricationanddesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t know 100% that anyone has installed on the Mojave. I have not heard any issues if they have. I think the Mojave hood will have the most room of all since it has a wider raised area.

    Do you have any solution for 2022 3.6 JLU XR?

    • @813fabricationanddesign
      @813fabricationanddesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This will work if you have non-eTorque engine. If you have eTorque I have a new mount in production that works but only for the ARB Single compressor.

      The new mounting plate in production now that will be arriving soon (approx 3/10) now has holes for mounting the ARB manifold to the front of the plate. Should make a super clean setup!

    Hey, will it fit in A JLU 3.6 with etorque?

    • @813fabricationanddesign
      @813fabricationanddesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not seen one in person to completely verify but the etorque has an extra aluminum line attached to the front mounting location. This aluminum line is in the same location that the compressor plate sits/mounts, so it does not fit as far as I can tell.

    Does this fit a Viair 450 compressor?

    • @813fabricationanddesign
      @813fabricationanddesign  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I believe if you flip the feet to the side of the compressor that there would be enough space on the mount for it to fit. The hole pattern I am not completely sure. You may have to drill a couple holes to bolt it down. I know I have tested it but am unable to locate photos of doing so.

    Why don’t you include the heat shield anymore?

    • @813fabricationanddesign
      @813fabricationanddesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I made the heat shield a separate item mostly to help save cost for customers. The heat shield and small parts like air fittings, air hoses and air couplers are items I stock as a convenience for customers. Sometimes the customer can source these items a little cheaper so I felt that making them an option was the best approach. I have the heat shield in stock and listed on the website but it is sold separately.

    • @813fabricationanddesign
      @813fabricationanddesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The eTorque engine has an extra hard aluminum line that routes over the mounting bracket blocking the plate from mounting correctly. I know one customer that was able to move that line to another location but it is not something we have tested so it is not something that we can recommend. We do have a new ARB Single compressor mount for under the hood coming very soon. I am pretty sure it will work with the eTorque engine but need to verify a few items.

      @@813fabricationanddesign this is exactly what I was hoping to read. I've got a JT and have a ARB single. I love the design but I'm honestly looking for a plate that isn't quite as large as this to mount it so it's extremely exciting to read that you guys are taking us (single compressor) guys into consideration!!
