Thank you Yvette. Your video awakens the feeling of interest, exitement and admiration in me. By structuring the information the way you do, giving quick and easily understandable examples and including the understanding of how to relate to emotions evaluated to be negative - the video and your teachings are meeting my needs for learning, inspiration and personal growth. Thank you again. Looking forward to watching more videos of yours!

"What do you need to survive (standard equipment) and thrive (optional extras)?" The way I understand it, the needs for survival should be given. Whereas the objects of our desires to thrive should be earned. But if we don't first receive our needs for survival, then either the weak cannot achieve their wants for "thrival" at all, and therefore spiral into shame, or the strong achieve their wants, but only with such forced self-effort, that they therefore puff up in pride ("I did it, why can't you?"/"You're just making excuses for your laziness!"/"Buddy, we all gotta pay our dues!"/etc.).

How to use the NVC in a working relationship or with someone that we barely know? Does anyone knows?

It can be a challenge, but if it's me, sometimes I start with just feelings and needs guessing.

The map is not the territory, but the map can be a helpful start for those contemplating whether or not the journey is for them.
