@@garyhyndman1105 Gary, thanks for the reply, I am 58, I have dreamed of independent Wales since I was 15. It will never happen in my life time. For two reasons, unlike Ireland and Scotland, the Welsh are a conquered people, we've been under England's rule, far longer than our Celtic brothers, therefore we lack confidence, self belief, that we can do something different or better. Proof, the way we let down our brothers in the EU referendum. Secondly, we lack politicians, that put Wales first. I will never see a truly self governing Wales in my lifetime, but if I see a 32 country REPUBLIC OF IRELAND then I'll be chuffed to bits.

It won't happen if you allow yourself to be downtrodden and made to believe you're not worthy or capable of self-government . We are all part of the same toxic union. England as master with Scotland ,Wales ,and NI as its bitches has run its course. This is no partnership,we are captured nations, the dying embers of their empire. The battlefields are no longer an option but the polling stations are .

its a neat link between welsh and irish history. shame there isnt anything really there to memorialise the irish people unjustly imprisoned there.

There’s a reason the department of corrections is known by American criminals as the department of connections, what do you expect when you put hundreds of like minded people together.
