I think it's not the hardware that matters--maganda na yung hardware production nila. It's the software at the end of the day. Remember controlled parin nila yung software over the air. The biggest fear is them shutting down these cars over the air in the event of a war. ginagawa na nila yan with Tiktok, remember they have been deleting West Philippine Sea content lately?
Mahaba ba ang waiting list for the premium model? I'm decided to buy this. My only concern is, what if thieves catch a glimpse of the tablet like display and rip it out, can it function as a tablet?
This car is actually used as a Bolt taxi in Thailand as we rode one when we were there (local Grab version) and the driver even said that the Thai government is giving discounts to buyers when they buy EVs (around THB 150k or 250k in our currency, iirc based on what the driver said to us). Hoping for something similar in PH (or is it something that's added to the EVIDA law already? I might be left out with updates on this lol)
Thai people and their gov are wise. By having more people using EV, they can alleviate the problems associated with the use of ICE cars in heavily congested city areas. EV don't pollute the air, nor cause noise, nor heat up the air even they are stuck in traffic jam.
interior's too funky for my taste and I would still go for hyundai's offering. but still good for the industry as it will force other manufacturers to be on their A game while having competitive pricing. great job BYD
It's mostly the colors. They came out with a "Champion" version in China that has a beige/white/black interior instead of Blue/white/red. It looks much better
still sad price. 1.8M is the price of an Atto 3 in Australia. Reasonable price premium on EVs should be 4-5 years of fuel consumption on top of the price of an equivalent gas vehicle. In the Philippines, Toyota Rush is a good match to the Atto 3. the Rush is 1.2M so an Atto 3 good price at 1.4M to 1.5M pesos.
In our case we first connect via cable. Then afterwards it just reconnects without a cable. There probably is a way to connect it initially without a wire but we didnt try it.
Hello DTI this car is overly overpriced in the Philippines. Considering the waived EV tax the markup is just too high. It's not the shipping, not the tax then what is it? In Singapore this is just 20k usd and that is even the top variant plus Singapore is way farther w much higher shipping costs.
is the battery safe? Lots of EVs catching fire on the road like in China and US for example. They all point out to the battery issues. Who is checking the type of batteries of these vehicles upon entry to Philippine shores?
Electric vehicles have little parts unlike fossil fueled cars which requires lots of maintenance. I understand though your concern but that's the fault of fossil fueled cars.
Hm Yong Car at battery. Dapat mura lng ang battery Kasi kng magkaroon Ng accident magkano Naman ang replacement at Ito ba ay Puede isama SA car insurance.? Thanks.
It will only going to trickle charge the battery not gonna help much with the range also that would also increase the price giving you another reason to complain
The car is good. But It needs 5 years more to improve on. Reason; I just got my new car haha. I need to pay it for 5 years . But after my payment. I'll definitely buy one 😅
@@ronaldchua3197nope, after battery dies within ten years you have to buy another vehicle. Your savings in gas and preventive maintenanance will pale in comparison to the Cost of the EV purchased when you do the Math😅
let wait and see, with the Battery technology improving each year , and cost of production reduce, what will happened in coming 5 to10 years, don't be judge too early

BYD supplies batteries to tesla, kia and toyota. To add, the lead designer of audi and lamborghini was the one who designed the atto 3.
Seems like samsung supply apple with screens etc 😅😅
I have one, it is an outstandingly good vehicle, and terrific value.

Waiting for our unit to arrive! We have solar power installed on our roof that’s why we decided to shift to electric.

Solar power at home? Then the running cost of your car will be zero. Not only you save your money, but you save the earth as well. 100% green.🎉

@@DenDen-ph no. walang battery and CPU yung screen.
Is there room in the lower trunk for a spacesaver spare wheel?
With the latest update u can access ac controls while in android auto, just swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen
We tried that many times. Didnt work. This probably hasnt been updated.

In Bangkok we saw Dolphin BYD for Grab and MG also.

Don't hold your breathe for a Phils discount.
with the electric motor positioned quite low, how deep or shallow can it navigate through flooded streets?
Watch the video
Can you do a comparo between the mg4 standard and the byd atto 3 standard.
Hopefully you also review the byd dolphin and the byd tang
Can a tow bar be installed for the 2024 BYD Atto 3?
The dashboard reminds me of that Robot alien in Lost in Space. It looks good though
Hope you can feature the byd Tang
Still for logistical support a lack of charging stations outside of the metro makes ev not a great choice yet.
20:20 wow nice bus, is it jeep?
wow! i need this car 🥰
how about charging cost? can it be charge at home with its socket configuration? any special apparatus needed to charge?
Nasa video, watch it.
Okay na sana, yung aircon control lang need mo pa pumindot sa screen at lumabas ng android auto bago mo ma adjust. Other than that all goods naman sya
Pwede ma adjust via voice command.
No spare tire??
Please review the Jetour Dashing PHEV!

Finally a BYD Atto 3 review with a Filipino perspective lol
I love it, except for the interior. it looks very cheap
see it in the flesh, youll change your mind.
@@gartpizarro9203i totally agree😊 looks funky but tasteful
because it only costs 1M pesos in China despite an EV or expensive battery. BYD EVs are best sellers in other parts of the world due to good value.
We wouldn't say it looks cheap. It's just funky. 😀
Hoping byd T3, passenger variant, is brought in

LFP is the safest battery so far
@@benedictt2246 that's great! But what about other EV brands entering our market, are they using the same?
Most EVs are still using the lithium ion
So the battery and design are okay. But… what about the other parts? And at 1.8?

Electric cars is usually a write off if battery is damage in an accident that shows you how battery is very expensive.
The battery too is 8 years or 160k warranty
Flooded street and battery are the main concerns..
And how much energy to build that battery
How much are the monthly subscription fees with software updates?
