This carpet looks like it spent a week laying in the middle of a dirt road somewhere in a busy farm area. There is no way it could come that soiled even from a city street, let alone from any kind of indoor space, where most carpets normally stay their entire life

If you want to walk with shoes, you should have special shoes for the house. It should be swept 2 times and washed once a year. What mud was this. I have never seen anything like this in my life. You should not walk on the carpet with your shoes when you go to the bathroom. Where was this carpet? It was on a wide street.

Seems like it would cut down on the cost of soap and water. Water ain't cheap these days. Also, why not set the carpet on a frame of chicken wire for the first sprays so that the dirt that falls through can escape and not just go to the floor and lie against the back of the carpet? All of these things would be just as interesting to watch.
