Hey, thanks for the video! What’s the best defense against this move? I’m a 6 month white belt and i keep getting submitted by no gi Ezekiels. I always try to somehow get my hands in between his hands and my throat but then I can’t use them to actually escape mount so I’m not really gaining much.
Just a random idea to play with (using the position in this vid for reference): use your left hand to frame into that far bicep (or grab the fist directly, or frame the neck), anything to distract and relieve a little pressure from the fist. Might buy you a little time. Then use your right hand/elbow on the knee/hip and threaten the bridge over your right shoulder. This MAY get them to react and loosen the sub (or less likely, even sweep, but then you'll need to continue defending the sub from top). Personally, I just do what you said and stifle the hands EARLY (early awareness and pre-emptive defense is always best). I can usually weasel out, then address the mount second. However, it won't hurt to mess around and see if you can threaten some off-balances.
@@ewill312 Not just about brutally but the fist to the neck just seems like a ‘fist’ to the freaking neck! How many times do you correlate a choke with a ‘fist’ in conjunction with number of times you associate a strike with a ‘fist’?
Solid choke! Not sure how many friends youre going to make.
We messed around with this and you weren't lying it is a really fast choke once you lean with the shoulder under the chin.
oos

Better mount defense
Keep your chin tucked and look to kipping escape as soon as they start going for it, they sacrifice under hooks for this choke which gives up control
Dang; that’s legal? May as well throw strikes. Cool move though
…? How is this choke any more brutal than other chokes lol.
