Gordon Murray sold his F1, and used the proceeds to buy a whole collection of lightweight classic cars. He's going to have many of them at the GMA HQ for people to go and look at.
At a Silverstone or Goodwood event the F1 dominates to this day. As a spectator you can notice that and the back of the car is a lot of what you see. This car has been 'done to death' on YT however you have brought something new to the table here with many facts not known. However, I was expecting a clip of a younger 'Iron Man' taking delivery of his example, which was step one on the way to the first sports car in space.
The Jaguar XJR-15 was the first car to use a carbon fibre chassis supposedly, beating the F1 to the punch but they didn't make many XJR-15's, and those that did get made... it was a brutal race car for the road, not the ultimate driving machine.
I've driven loads of racing cars (obviously in races on a race track). I can't imagine why anyone would ever want to go anywhere in that thing either as a passenger or a driver. The misery of it. All stress, no comfort, exposing everyone around you to all kinds of risk of death and injury and zero reward. Idiocy. Even on a track it would be a ridiculous machine when you could drive something with race tyres and not rock hard vulcanised road tyres. Or just use your budget for a proper race car. Still I really enjoyed your video!
The person who led the McLaren F1 project, Gordon Murray, is now working on a new sports car using the very latest in lightweight materials. The Gordon Murray T.50 could be surprisingly fast, though Murray said they're not aiming for a ridiculous top speed like what Koenigsegg did in recent years.
My favourite piece of film is watching the late Murray Walker driving one 😂. The credit for 11:00 is Top Gear when Tiff Nedell drove it around Goodwood and “gave it some stick”
6:30 The Wing Mirrors on the production F1s are funny, they adapted the VW Corrado's, it's really a thing on 90s and early 2000s supercars that they've took some aftermarket/off-the-shelf parts, the facelift Lamborghini Diablos got their headlights from the Nissan 300ZX (with an additional part that covers the "Nissan" imprinting) and it's rear lights (same on the early Pagani Zondas), you can find similar ones on some construction machines, the side turn indicators on Murcielagos are from the Ford Focus Mk I. IMHO it isn't wrong to use such parts instead of doing everything tailor-made, however these should have a good quality (not like these cheapo Ford window switches they've put into Jaguars and Aston Martins next to a Fiesta) and shouldn't be too obvious.

I used to have a lot of respect for Gordon Murray, but in recent years it's come to light that Steve Nichols and his team of engineers designed the MP4/4 (one of the most successful F1 cars of all time). Gordon contributed next to nothing to it's design claiming he'd based it on his previous brabham bt55, despite both cars having almost literally nothing in common. If he lied about designing the MP4/4, did he also lie about designing the F1 road car? Shame on you Gordon, you used to be cool.

Those incredible butterfly doors were actually directly-inspired by, of all things, the Tercel-based Toyota Sera.
Among The F1's customers was Rowan Atkinson who racked up at least 37,000 miles before he ended up selling his F1.
He crashed it twice and the second episode was one of the UKs highest insurance claims as McLaren rebuilt the car.
