Chilao to Mt Pacifico by Mountain Bike

- The group did a 2-day 1-night car camping trip at Chilao campground so I decided to bring my MTB to do some exploration and headed up to Mt Pacifico at 7100 feet elevation. There was more snow than I expected but my tires seemed to grip well enough so I continued. On the second day I explored a bit more and went to Sulphur Springs campground and Three Points. Love this part of the Angeles NF. We did 2 night trip from 3 Points and over Mt Pacifico a couple years back. The Sulphur Springs Camp is a hidden gem back there.

I bikepacked there last year, overnight. Very nice and peaceful..
I’ll be bikepacking while the rest of the group will be backpacking.

Silver Mocassin Trail is on my list again. I just wonder if that can be done with bikes.. one time Jennifer was telling me about that Sulphur campground, seems like another great location from our group.
