Hi. I have just discovered your videos and channel and I think its awesome! I am just a beginner and also would like to make combat video games because I am a martial artist. I love video games and martial arts, so this is exactly what I was looking for! I subscribed immediately! Thank you very much for what you are doing!
Thamk you for your vidos, you really helped me to get some understanding of how a fighting system could work. Probably the best playlist on this topic in youtube. Btw how did you fix enemy's animbp not working?
So I created a new anim bp for the enemy then on the walk state on the state machine in the link between then for idle to walk I deleted the should move and replaced it with speed > 3 and did the same on the walk to idle just with a
@@MrKnowBodyUE5Yeah, I used my own BP and AnimBP, and it seems smth wrong with accessing current acceleration data which as I believe is calculated based on the input. I suspect AI control somehow moves the caracter whithout input. One more question, would you like you break down Combat Fury project?
I have a bit of a problem when I get hit while I'm punching it stops all fighting input (running/movement animations still working after bug happens). I can use a sound, health bar, screen shake or effect for a work around. it's just the animation. if i use different animations it still brakes. If i remove the animation for bp third person character being hit it works fine.
So I’m honestly not sure how I got the enemy to stop floating, it was a while ago and I honestly didn’t think anyone else would come across the same issue so I never really thought to publish the solution. However I can give you what the issue is, for some reason the can move Boolean variable in the animation blueprint will never change to true making it so the walking animation never plays. I’d suggest trying to Google the solution for this as I can’t really remember much else. Sorry to be of no help to you.

@@catanonimus7 That could be the problem… maybe?
About the combat fury, did you mean you want a video about breaking it down?
@@MrKnowBodyUE5 yeah, I mean an analysis of the main systems, like how everything is connected, what's the purpose of some elements etc
NOICE!
Thanks! Hope you enjoy
couldnt you set the responsible pawn that deals the player damage to be enemy ref, the same as you did whoever the player attacks?
You could

I believe if you end the players combo after being hit by an enemy your issue should be fixed. I’m not 100% sure if this would work though.
@@MrKnowBodyUE5 Thanks for your help and the videos.
did you make a video on the animation bp? I feel like you just skipped that part.
It’s just the default animation bp in the third person template.
how did you get your enemy to stop floating and animate the run towards the player?
