Just got a used motorized bike, I know nothing about it, no manual, nothing, the guy said the clutch wouldn't engage. I have been looking at some of these videos and I think I can do it, but I don't have that nut wrench thing to pull the gears, but I'm sure I can buy one somewhere. Liked the video but had to keep fast forwarding because of all the camera movement. Please get a tri-pod for gods sake. 👍👍👌👌

YOU MAY NOT NEED NEW PADS!!!! I've watch several of these videos of changing the clutch pads. In all the videos the pads seem stuck in the clutch pad gear. It seems to me if they're stuck in the gear, the spring loaded outer sheet metal disc is not going to be able to push the pads against the inner flywheel disc. This being the case, the only friction you're going to get is against the outter sheet metal disc and it's no wonder the clutch is slipping. I have not tried this but most likely you could remove the clutch pads, sand the edges so they fit in their recessed slots easily, button it up and it would run fine. There's a good chance they're not wore out but just stuck in the gear and can no longer be pushed against the inside flywheel. ; )
I find you just sand then on concrete drool bit
Where do you find these semi-metallic clutch pads? I've looked everywhere and can't find them.
Have You tried ceramic pads? Just curious what you think.? Like automotive type ceramic pads?👍
The green pads are ceramic. www.ebay.com/itm/395048701230?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=th-2sakotwu&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=H87FyUHfRRW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@BuildBreakFix Wow! I didn't know that. Thanks for the reply!👍
Please help! I Just found your channel, awesome one handed work BTW . So my stepson is having an issue with the lever that goes into the gearbox ( throw out lever )?? It keeps popping up out of the housing. What is wrong and how do I fix it. Thank you in advance. LG
@lg5962 there is a small bar and a ball bearing between the clutch shaft. It sounds like the ball bearing is missing. If the tiny bar is not holding the arm in place it can move to far and fall out of the sprocket cover. www.ebay.com/itm/283878825576?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=8xkyipwmtns&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=H87FyUHfRRW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Both the ball Bearing and cylindrical pin are in place. But the shaft and arm assembly can just slide in and out.
@@BuildBreakFix
Hello again, ok so the ball bearing and the pin are inside the unit but the shaft still slides in and out of the housing. What am I doing wrong ?
@lg5962 are you saying the lever that connects to the cable pulls out of the sprocket cover? The retainer pin in the cover may or worn or fell out. You could always buy a new cover there only a few dollars.

The bike is only a couple months old had maybe five tanks of fuel run through it . Everything is there , the ball bearing, pin, cover and cable arm and shaft. But the arm and shaft keeps popping out. What holds the shaft in . Am I putting it back in wrong ? Is there a clip that goes in the grove of the shaft ? Is there a specific way it locks in place?.
Just got my first 50 cc. As for starting from a complete stop. Im winding it up really high, its slow taking off. I changed the clutch pads but the new ones already have that burned look. Do I adjust the carb? Change the method of moving from a stop?
How small is your rear sprocket. 50cc has a hard time with smaller sprockets. 44-46t is what most use on 50cc. 36-38t with 80cc kits . Most start out clutch in and peddle some get going on 50cc engines
@@BuildBreakFix I was going to count the teeth never got around to it. It always starts in 4 or 5 pedals, maybe Ill just go with that. I guess if you pedal start you dont get the black clutch pads?
How do u get clutch gear from the back of pressure plate
considering it's a 20$ entire kit item or a 10$ pressure plate alone item lol. for 6 hours of work to get pull apart bearing off with a reverse gear puller would be crazy
Is it normal that the clutch moves up and down or left or to the right? My engine rattles loud
Yes it's normal on these kits
I changed mine and now my bike moves with no clutch how do I fix it
Flower nut tighten it fully with lever pulled in fully. Back it off 1.5 turns while lever is pulled in. You should see clutch release at this point. When lever is let out. Should grab again. Release when pulled in.
@@BuildBreakFix I also changed the magnet coil could that affect it
@@BuildBreakFix I wish I had a visual demonstration
I need help , my small sprocket teeth *the right one next to the big one * turned to dust , its completly gone. where can i buy one , i have been looking everywhere and i couldnt ride my bike in 6 months, please is there any website wich ships it , maybe to germany aswell ? please tell me .

Do you mean the ball that goes in the bucking bar part between the pins? This may be what you are asking about! 10$ for new set www.ebay.com/itm/233628054250?itmmeta=01HTZY8065D72J263ACY08M15X&hash=item36655132ea:g:RCoAAOSw9vpc5dgf&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA0FKuA3gUJ80D%2BW1dbF%2FMCnSEyT4GUPeoqovlB5j9EYBCz2lBcgtfGy%2BnBhglOyuyRDCsPMGs1rJIA7p9bSBO9u8SAYg6OBcl465hURTJ0Zm0IOz0Fbp6n5fs1w0%2FNvdKJ%2FVAPWV4K8ueoeqXqkczjpMOsXMErkGpMiNRip40pK0ZWohhkSZ9ATtnzx2sRt6zdGI4Xaeolv3mjF56s8spMaNk3bnCvj8D%2F2Spz45h8H0rnw6bJZo1sRR%2BtEPV74Tp8TOhjLtX3P52%2FhXZDJmT0rc%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR5iDoP7XYw
What length throttle cable can I use mine too short and I’m on budget my bike a bit bigger
Not sure what you are asking. Length of cable? I'm pretty sure all "motorized bicycle throttle cables" are around 48inchs or 1meter roughly. Only like 8$ on amazon
@@BuildBreakFix I need one that’s longer
Sorry I meant 18 mm
Yeah I know what yeah meant lol. Biggest nuts
