the most amazing thing of our digital age is that we get to continually share in such amazingly passionate vocals. To think that in 5 generations time people will get to hear and understand this is truly the greatest tribute that the Clancy's could get... RIP Tommy, Paddy, Tommy & Liam... and for that matter Luke and Ronnie. Thank God your memory is accessible for the ages that follow
There was a beautiful story I read, when I was younger, that's too long to recount here. But nevertheless, the moral runs hand in glove with your comment- "a man is not truly dead until he is forgotten." And I agree with you, these fine men will live forever. Simply unforgettable.
discovered you, Liam, a litle late in life but not too late to realize your words were magic and your heart was good. If there is a life after this one, I'll see you there.
My gram taught me this song when I was 2 or 3 years old, My wildI rish rose and Molly Malone too. Her family immigrated to the states at the turn of the century from Cork Ireland. I have family roots from all over Europe. My Dad was from Hungary My Mom from Ireland and Portugal. All hardworking and drinking countries. The best words of wisdom through music and life. Seemed to come from Irish songs and limericks. The struggle in the States was everyones. My upbringing had a very outspoken Irish grandma who taught me a lot while my Mom and Dad were working. Through many Irish songs Pearls of wisdom were passed down.
