Excellent western! The twists are a good reflexion of human nature, especially the good old undertaker who happens to be worse than the whole gang. A+ filming, A+ acting, A+ everything actually, only the final minutes that could've been a bit longer but budgets were much tighter than today's and when you were told to wrap it up you would anyway. Calling it a B western makes you question the As then.
The Big Valley T.V. Show. Classic television western. That's where that line you typed is from. LOL. Because of reruns, I'm not sure how many times their family's barn was set on fire. LOL.
That line is really actually from the original The Big Valley western T.V. show. They spoofed it by saying it on Airplane. That's why it's triply funny if you're a huge fan of The Big Valley like I am. Keep in mind that the Big Valley was in heavy syndication during the 1970's as the writers of Airplane were putting their script together. LOL. All the best.
i really liked the 2 of the crooks that first rode into town to rob the bank , the short one that kept saying ''okay okay'' and the skinny tall one who said he would spend his share of the money in mexico and buy enough tequila to flood a horse, i actually hoped they would get away with it
What a peculiar movie. So the sand storm was the hero? (otherwise what was the purpose of the sand storm?) It seemed that there were so many villains and so many contradictions that the plot got lost. The posse is arrested by the bad guys? The money is stolen by the coroner's wife who doesn't know her husband is in cahoots with the bad guys - who just happened to have a connection with a whole group of outlaws because they would naturally need to have a coroner available - cuz you never know what information he might have? The whole town loves the couple getting married, but in seconds tells them they're no longer welcome because the father/banker was killed while robbers were taking the money that they then didn't get because some of the bad guys were cheating on the other bad guys? Now THIS is the kind of Western we learned to love back in the good old 1950/60s.
¡¡BUENA PELICULA,AUNQUE NO HABLO EL IDIOMA INGLES,SEGUI TIDO EL TRAYECTO DE LA PELICULA,BUENOS ACTORES,DAVID BRIAN,Y EL SIEMPRE MALAZO,NEVILLE BRAND,QUE NUNCA VE NI UNA,EN FIN BUENA PELICULA.!!
Sad reality. Richard Long was doing this film in which he gets married while his first wife, Suzan Ball, was losing her battle with cancer. She died while he was working on this.

@@cornbreadthedogreally? Which episode?
It wasn't exactly a John Wayne epic. But it was a solid B western. A lot of familiar faces here, all veteran character actors!
a really good story
Great movie especially with the actor that plays jarrod on big valleys.

I liked the guy who wanted a "new Indian wife". "OK-OK", he was a comical bad guy.

The Public behaves like Adolescents, then and now.
That was what was most interesting about this film. People who can be such…….
