    Temple worker here (post changes). 00:59:39 - They don't do the oil anymore in the washing...it's just water now. They also don't touch the various parts. It's all done with hands on the head and they just say all the other body parts. "I bless your eyes that you may see, I bless your ears that you may hear...I bless your loins that you may be fruitful and multiply...etc."
    I was 100% touched naked all over with the oil when I first went through. ZERO forewarning or knowledge of what was happening. No informed consent.

      @@thelastgoonie6555 It's too late. Mt female butch temple worker crossed the Rubicon and assaulted me by disturbingly touching my nipple and public hair. I was nude and that "poncho" was designed to make the wearer feel naked and vulnerable, without the requisite informed consent. That greased up crazy lady wouldn't stop when I backed away and she looked into my eyes as she rubbed my sexual organs as though she was going to assert full control over MY naked body WITHOUT MY CONSENT and she absolutely knew what she was rubbing, making little greasy circles on my skin. The temple is a repulsive place where sexual assault is normalized. Might as well be a shrine to adulterous predators, oh wait, it is the "great and spacious buildings" of Mormon lore and Fandom.

    As a current member distancing myself from church beliefs, I found this video very enlightening. I knew we took things from the masons but didn't know to what extent. However, after watching hundreds of videos regarding polygamy, I don't believe anymore that Joseph practiced it but despised it. Even until 1844, he was defending himself in court against it, and excommunicating certain others for practicing it. I now feel free to believe him at his word. He has no posterity other than from Emma, and the plural wives of church leaders had much to lose if they didn't prove polygamy was from God. Their case was thrown out.
    Also I believe Emma, Joseph III and Lucy Mack Smith. They all insisted that Joseph had nothing to do with it until their deaths. Brigham was a scoundrel, changing records to support his New and Everlasting Covenant of plural marriage. He likely also had Joseph killed to get him out of the way. I believe it was an inside job. A good channel to watch on polygamy is Michelle Stone's 132 Problems. A good one to learn about the inside job is Justin Griffin's Who Killed Joseph Smith's video.

    • @thethathen
      @thethathen 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Idk, what do you make of the journals of joseph smiths plural wives attesting to Joseph teaching them the secret teaching of celestial plural marriage?
      Considering all the evidence, the simplest answer is joseph just was a liar and publicly distanced himself from it because he knew there would be backlash.

    • @DanaPrice-os9hh
      @DanaPrice-os9hh 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@thethathen If Joseph was not a liar or pedophile, wouldn't you want to know? Everyone wants to keep throwing him under the bus, believing Brigham over him. They can't both be right. The evidence is heavy on the opposite side, as I mentioned. Brigham spent much time and effort changing church history to fit his polygamy narrative. I believe the wives were in on it, or at least did as they were told. The affidavits are problematic and came all at once years after Joseph's death when they needed to prove they had a right to the temple lot. Many of them weren't signed, and things said were proved to not be true. The judge threw out the case for insufficient evidence. Here's a really great video if you want to understand better: th-cam.com/video/F5heXE5xS5w/w-d-xo.html

    The Bible mentioned there being upper chambers in Solomon's temples.
    Scholars have debated what these upper chambers were used for (which also included another veil), but there is no consensus.
    Now I don't claim to know either. But you have to at least allow for the possibilities of other ordinances the Bible does not mention.

      I respectfully disagree. If you read Oliver Cowdery’s journal he says Joseph introduced it. Even the Church's official site says he introduced it. Brigham Young may have added stuff (like the oath of vengeance) but Joseph introduced it. "Joseph Smith later introduced a temple ordinance he also called an endowment" www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/history/topics/endowment-of-power?lang=eng

      Then why does the website say Joseph introduced it? And even if it was written down later, that doesn't mean Joseph didn't introduce it.

      How is comparing ceremonies mocking the Lord? Also, you are correct. These are all found online! We never said that they weren't. We said that these were hidden from others at the time the endowment was put into place. Now they are on the internet. And we don't need forgiveness from Mormon God. We're good without that

    The temple cermony is for instruction purposes and that's it. It's liturgy meant to teach. And anyone who thinks it comes from masonry has clue about history. 😂
