In this video, we dive into the real reasons behind his death, exposing the controversies and choices that sealed his fate. Mormonism is a thoroughly “American” invention in the area of religion. It had its germination in the revival movement of the Second Great Awakening of the early 19th century. But it is also an “apostasy” from Evangelical Protestant Christianity for that same reason. Mormonism claims that one’s “feelings” are a guide to Truth in religion. This is indeed a grave error. Thanks for all the information, guys! 😊😊😊

If the danties were a lie why were they mentioned in the Joseph Smith papers? I understand if the only stories came from outside sources, but the official papers mention them. @@BehindTheVeilOfficial They were mentioned then because danite boogeymen as a story weren't created now. It was a story back then. There wasn't anyone that was actually proven even as a danite boogeyman. Think about the mobs. Why would you be worrying about danites when the mobs of that period were the real boogeymen and real story. Doesn't it seem odd to you that everyone would ignore the real story, which was murdering, rapists that were combing the countryside invading mormon homes and cities.... when you see the truth its not as pretty. If you were stirring up the mob, you have to have a story. They created this idea of danite boogeymen to trick people to join the mobs to invade mormon homes. Anyone there with those mobs isn't going to identify themselves because if they do now they are murderers and rapists. The real evidence you can find is that hundreds of bank failures happened around that time. The country was full of failing banks around that time also. This was part of why people joined the mobs. They wanted someone to blame for the bank failures. And it made people do things they wish they hadn't. But it doesn't meaning joining these pitchfork mobs was the right thing to do. I suggest you find another topic. When ppl find out their ancestors were part of these mobs it will hurt them.

This whole LDS narrative about Joseph Smith and the translation of alleged “Gold Plates” is pure fiction. Why would an Angel take said plates back to heaven rather than leave them on earth? What use does heaven have for gold plates buried in the earth for hundreds of years? 😂😂😂 This narrative does not even correspond to how the Old Testament or the New Testament came to exist. Mormons typically have very little reliable understanding of authentic Scripture, Jewish religion, or Christianity in general. They have never studied any of these in a professional or academic manner. Mormon apologists tend to have degrees in areas like communication or counseling. Mormon leaders are usually businessmen with backgrounds in finance. For some reason, Mormons see no problem with this trend. 🤔

Again, why do you take all of these statements at face value? Brighams statements from the 1866 conference are a lie. You have to remember that this is right after the Mormon reformation. Brigham was trying to convince the saints to accept and practice polygamy and he was trying to fend off the pressure from the RLDS missionaries. Brigham said whatever he had to. Look at letters between Joseph and Emma, she was pregnant with Joseph’s baby at the time of the martyrdom and named the baby after Hyrum, the man who allegedly told Emma that she would be destroyed if she didn’t accept polygamy. I appreciate how hard you guys are going after the church narrative because it truly is ridiculous. I believe much of it is based on fabricated history though.

Either way what Brigham is doing is not okay. He is either announcing for the world how much he hates Emma. Or he is trying to advocate and get members to do the disgusting practice of Polygamy. I am sorry if you think we took something out of context, but either way what Brigham is doing is disgusting! And if you say what we are doing is ridiculous that is totally fine! You are more than welcome to your own opinion. But at the same time I would love to see some statements proving what we are saying is ridiculous. Obviously the church is going to whitewash it because they don't want people to actually know how bad the history is. That is why we are looking at papers and journals written at the time. I am not trying to be rude here. You have actually been very respectful and I really appreciate that! And I enjoy a civil debate.

The church scrubbed its history clean of polygamist spouses being poisoned; that Emma poisoned Joseph, what the Danites actually did, and more. THANK YOU FOR FILLING IN THE GAPS & HOLES! ❤ Bought you some ☕️ and appreciate your efforts! Many years ago, in Bisbee, Arizona, I read some old pioneer accounts of women who flat out refused to take one single step further as they crossed the pioneer trail. They were so exhausted camping and washing nightly on the trail WHILE their husbands enjoyed the company of new polygamous wives and so on. One man just left her (as did the saints) on the trail. I read several other accounts of first wife’s in Southern Utah *poisoning* their husband’s plural wives. When I listened to your Emma-Joseph episode, I realized that those were *not* isolated accounts! Have either of you legitimately studied the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? I know the story of Joseph Smith getting plates to translate seems a bit fantastical but so does Noah’s Ark and Moses parting the sea, and Jonas being swallowed by a whale!! But I do believe they happened and I do believe the Bible. But I also believe the Book of Mormon as it is a history of the Nephite’s and Lamanites and the gospel coincides with the Bible. There is NO WAY Joseph Smith could have written it in the timeframe he translated it. There’s also NO WAY he could have had all the legit details of the land and the history that actually happened. As a faithful member of the Church, I concede that what you presented here is FAR closer to the truth than those who deny Joseph's polygamy (like Michelle Stone and the Remnant Church) and those who rationalize it as being commanded of God (including Brian Hales and Church essays.) Lust is the most deceptive vice known to mankind. The Church denying that Joseph could have been deceived by it denies his humanity and paints him as infallible and untainted by sin. Which he was not. I think members understand in the abstract that its leaders are not perfect. But they have a harder time seeing it in the concrete. I advocate that only 132:34-33 be included in the Doctrine and Covenants. The rest should be removed as private correspondence of questionable intent. 132 is like the Apocrypha: Truth mixed with error.

It's really easy to make all of these conjecture with the scant information we have of the time before 1830. It wasn't until the April 1830 first conference that Joseph was commanded to keep a record. Before that they wrote down his revelation but not all the details so yes some things are back dated. The first version of the First Vision is from an 1832 unfinished rough draft of Joseph history and the church. The preamble was written in the handwriting of Frederick G. Williams ... Christ in the eve of time according as the Lord brought forth and established by his hand firstly he receiving the testamony from on high" This would be his first vision "Seccondly the ministering of Angels" This would be the Angel Moroni and others he briefly mentions. " thirdly the reception of the holy Priesthood by the ministring of-Aangels to adminster the letter of the Gospel- -the Law and commandments as they were given unto him- and the ordinencs," This would be John the Baptist, baptism " forthly a confirmation and reception of the high Priesthood after the holy order of the son of the living God .." This would be Peter, James and John giving them the Melchisedec priesthood.

I would be far more skeptical of the endowment if it came out of nowhere. Just as I would have a harder time believing the Book of Mormon if there was no preservation of the Bible. Also, I watched quite a few videos regarding Agnostic Christianity texts that detailed secret washing and anointing ceremonies similar to those found in the LDS temple and other secret ceremonies that were to remain "hidden from the world." The receiving of a new name even survives in the Book of Revelation. Now, I think it is likely that the LDS church adopted Masonic influences outside of the original endowment ceremonies.
