* start your day with Shymbulak Ski Resort | will take 5 hours to reach, explore & comeback to city
* Head to Zenkov's Cathedral in evening during the prayers, its a beautiful experience
* Head to Kok Tone for Sunset

I visited on the day Shymbulak closed😢. But luckily I cud go back on 2nd November when it reopened. It was covered in Snow! 😮 Wow

You’ll just need return tickets and you’ll be good to go. Having a hotel booking is a good though no one will ask

1. Did you book cab from yandex go app the all the time for sightseeing in almaty or you recommend any tour operator for show around all the places?
2. Did you face challenges due to language barrier ? Is it manageable ?

1) With in Almaty city Cab is suggested, yes we used Yandex, opt for tour when you’re going to exploring Charyn Canyons, Kolsai and Kaindy Lake.
2. Yes it’s definitely a barrier, but manageable with google translator

@@rit9rit its open but we need to walk close to 10 kms. Cars are not allowed further after a check post.We have returned after spending 10-15 minutes as it was not practical to walk for 4 hours for one way with small kids.
It is closed. I went there but stopped us 12 km before. You can't go
