My favorite cartoon of all times. Besides Scooby..😊😊 Always looked forward to Saturday morning Cartoons. Kids these days. Probably don't know things like good old cartoons...💖💖
They won’t die if you don’t Lazarus Rocky is the pineal gland, inever land . A bull winking Ha ha, the single eye. The laser light is you, a light saber cutting through the darkness. A Jedi has control of the third eye, aka the single eye. Uncle Jed was a Jedi, granny played Yoda.
Neither June Foray or Paul Frees had done a Pottsylvanian (faux Russian) accent in their careers before they voiced Natasha Fatale and Boris Badenov. Today, they are among the voice characters we know them best by.
Rick Roscoe Have you ever gone to Disneyland? The Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean... that’s Paul Frees. Some Like It Hot-Josephine was voices by Paul. Meowrice, the villain in Gay Purr-? That was Paul too. Ludwig, the crazy Duck uncle of Donald’s? That was Paul. I just discovered all this last night.
@@dazzlingdeb8427 And TODAY I learned that William Conrad, TV's Cannon and the "Fatman" of Jake and the, is the narrator for The Bullwinkle Show! All of the segments are he (he was also the narrator on The Fugitive and the original Gunsmoke in the radio plays but I'm sure his physique ruled him out of playing it on the show)
"D.W. Grifter"? D.W. Griffin was one of the first and one of the greatest silent film producers. I love the subtleties they slipped in to these cartoons. Much funnier now, after half a century, then they were back then.
You know, this is a classic show that everyone loved. I’m just glad I first watched the Complete First Season on DVD and it feels nice and funny to watch with my brother. Good times, but I don’t have a DVD Copy of the Complete First Season (Rocky and his friends).
It's funny (and scary) that my wife can do a perfect Bullwinkle impression. Rocky, no, but Bullwinkle, yes. Oh, and she can do a decent Natasha, too...but a PERFECT Bullwinkle. Ah, that girl of mine....live in jealousy, the rest of you! (LOL...not really a quality you LOOK for in a wife, but, hey....she says I'm stuck with her now! ;) I'm glad, though!)
I have the small stuffed dolls from Rocky and Bullwinkle show: fearless leader, Natasha, Boris, Snidley Whiplash, Mr. Peabody, Sherman, and lets not forget Dudley Do-right, and his horse! Snidley is green of course!😂
This was a great show. The good natured fun loving Rocky and Bullwinkle vs.Boris Badenov and Natasha Nogoodnik the sourpuss Soviets.Mr.Big,Who was just a big shadow and terrified Boris and Natasha was a hilarious touch.I wish I could've seen this without the subtitles. They were so inaccurate. For those who need or want them, its a shame that no one edited them.Any way,I never forget some of those lines.Fanmail from some flounder? Its...Mr.Big! and many more.
It’s really amazing how clever this cartoon was for the time it was made. It still surprises most animated shows made even today, in an age where the arbitrary restrictions of the early industry have largely been dropped.
For those that didnt see it at the end, Boris hypnotized Bulwinkle with the smog. He was under his spell as soon as boris was waving and giving hand gestures
"we invented John Paul Jones".... actually I just saw a listing of Russian admirals the other day and he was one of them, having joined the Russian Navy after the Revolutionary War....
If you look at the boxes of Cap'n Crunch cereals the characters on the boxes remind me of the same way the characters are drawn on Rocky and Bullwinkle.
Maybe wearing dark sun glasses in the dark tunnel to prove their eyes can re-adjust to sudden change in lighting while being children there getting away instead maybe could have helped save the day eh? Better than wearing sleep masks. 1984 was sure a good year in North America.
Boris: "No time like the *president*, Natasha" ...Hmmm... Copyright 1967- a 50-year old prediction Easter egg? Too good to be true- or too good NOT to be true? Putin/Boris: "It's 50-50 deal...we open hearts, you open [all your intelligence files to us]....stick with me booby, I'll make you a STAR!... just place your fate in my hands and the world will be at your feet!" Amazing what gems one can find buried in open sources...
Alex Greggary I have a feeling it had something to do with the fact that the show was originally Rocky and his Friends, and syndicated reruns changed the title to include Bullwinkle.
@Mr and Mrs. Smith Everyone, and I mean everyone, knows that Trump's a moron. Even the Republic-Fascist party knows this. So yes, a cartoon would be an improvement.
I've been using the phrase "Eez no good, Natasha!" all these years, even though nobody else now knows its origin.
how about this one, shut up your mouth natasha, i remember that watching these cartoons in the early 1970s
I often make reference of moose and squirrel. ( Natasha would say.
OH my Youth is still here in these Great Cartoons. Love ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE !!!
this is genuinely more entertaining than almost everything on today and I say that as someone who works in entertainment lol.
"Boris, How could you mistake me for a mattress?" - Natasha *smirk*
elMusica5354 *my head is gone and only a bone remains* I don't get it...
Oml- XD
man, Boris' accent is spot on
Pottsylvanian accent
Even though Boris and Natasha were villains, they were actually pretty eccentric as cartoon characters.
They don't make cartoons this clever anymore!
+ROCKNROLLFAN * Sad thing is most kids - or adults for that matter - just wouldn't get them.
Ah...yeah...damn...you're so right. I feel so decrepit right about now...
There's no reason to make cartoons like this anymore, we aren't in a cold war at the moment.
SonofRiggnarok we kind of are actually. Just because the there is no soviet union anymore doesn't mean there's 0 tension between the U.S. and Russia.
a lack of subtlety in most modern TV/Film Comedy is the problem imo, being edgy for the sake of being edgy just alienates audiences.
"I'm still Bullwinkle!"
Not you. You!
I’m still Bullwinkle!
Rest In Peace June Foray (The voice of Rocky and Natasha).

@@robertgravallese3931 My god! she was so good, i have a fantasy of sitting down with her at a bar, sharing a beer, and it all goes crazy in the best way

I hear her voice in my head several times a day....she tells me what's up
I honestly newer taught that she was almost 100 Yeras old! Good she at least seem to lived a long and i hope happy life.
"No time like the president, Natasha." Ha.
Chinaman's Chance This is the source of the Russian Hoax against Trump.
Well she did marry the putz trump
I came here because Mr. and Mrs. Trump remind me of this pair from this cartoon and I wasn't disappointed.
Putin must've been watching this episode😁 when the idea of putting melania and donald together occured to him... 🤔lol

Oh! Boris, never mention a woman's weight!
Natasha definitely wears the pants in this relationship
Back in the good ole days when people with REAL AWARD WORTHY TALENT showed pure talent in the art of imagination. 🙇♂️
I really like Rocky and Bullwinkle! Watching these episodes are cleverly fun!
1:26 - Boris: Say the name...
Narrator: Boris and Natasha...
Boris: No... PAPI and Natasha! YOU CALL ME PAPI BORIS!!!

Good catch
soupbone like Alfred Hitchhike (Alfred Hitchcock)
Griffith. Not Griffin.
Yes Griffen was an awesome talent and that is the point of the joke
Or the Kerwood Derby, which btw, pissed Durward Kirby off.
No one here seems to acknowledge the fact that Natasha's voice would later be used for Magica De Spell...
Great stuff no violence just funny !!!
This took me back in 1990. CBS aired this 1961-64 show on primetime as part of Toon-Nite in 1991.
The early years of Sam and Dean
Moose and Squirrell
SPN for life👍

Yep Crowley to Dean how's the moose

Farewell June Foray, who died this week at the age of 99. That's 60 years older than Jack Benny claimed to be...

How could you mistake me for a mattress?
Did you ever notice in the opening, Rocky lost balance and feared falling off the mountain; but he is a FLYING squirrel?

Bullwinkle hails from Frostbite Falls, Minnesota, not Canada.

Is it just me or Natasha sounds like Mrs. Trump! :-D
growing up is realizing this show was more for adults than for kids haha
Natasha has no mouth at 2:57.
Question did anyone ever thought as a kid Nintendo got inspired by Boris to create Wario? No just me?
Sonic and tails = rocky and bullwinkle
Natasha was my first celebrity crush.

My name is boris and everyone keeps asking me where natasha, that's why I'm here
Frostbite Falls, Minnesota😂
Why'd they switch it to "Bulwinkle and Rocky"? Was there some kind of copyright issue with this particular station?

Joey Gladstone as Bullwinkle
No coincidence BORis is-ROB and NATASha is ah+SATAN RE-versed. Lol
3:35, devil's horns...!
Gru is based on the Boris character

I never understood why they gave the next episode two possible titles but I think its a funny gag.
