Bessey clamp garbage. To be fair maybe they just had a bad batch, but I won't be buying these again.

Hate to say it, but the ones I have from Harbor Freight work better than that and they were on sale for $3

Must be something wrong with the ones that you have. I have about 8 of them and don't have any issues. Give Bessey a call about them and see what they say. - Chris
