    0:28 Asteroids (start)
Here we are introduced into the small asteroids with no spherical shape whatsoever. Not much to say about these objects because they are simply asteroids.
    1:26 Spherical objects
This is a transition from the small asteroids with uneven landscape to the objects that have enough gravity to form a sphere, with some cliffs sticking out from their surface.
    2:22 Keplers
These are the Kepler objects of interest. These objects were discovered by the Kepler Telescope, a ground based telescope used to detect distant exoplanets. The numbers and the letters represent the order in which they were discovered.
4:04 Gas giants and gas dwarfs
These objects are made of the same materials as the sun, but not enough nuclear fusion to become a star. This can sometimes depend on mass.
    5:22 Gas supergiants, or superjupiters
These are more larger gas giants, also with significantly higher mass.
    5:56 Stars, dwarf stars
These objects are objects with enough nuclear fusion in it’s core to become a star. Dwarf stars will start in the beginning of this timeline.
    6:42 Giant stars, dwarf stars
Higher mass stars with higher luminosity than dwarf stars.
    7:50 Significantly larger stars
Stars slowly but surely getting larger.
    11:06 Very large stars
Probably one of the biggest known stars, tons more mass and immense difference in size.
11:37 Red giants and black holes
I don’t think I needed to put this timeline here
    13:10 Cosmic scale
From orbits of planets, black holes and stars in this timeline we are introduced to the enormous, probably the most well known objects in the universe.
    14:36 Nebulas
Deceased stars. The leftover materials from the explosion creates some very coincedental shapes.
    15:12 Galaxies
Large dust spirals held together by a supermassive black hole in the center.
    16:11 Zoomout to the universe
Some calculations say the universe is finite.
    16:37 Parallel universes/outro
Is the universe infinite? Could there be other possible universes outside of ours? Sadly, we don’t know the question to that yet, but maybe in the future we will know the answer. ...or never.
18:05 Basically nothing at this point

I made a mistake, I said it was 4%, but it's a 0.4% of error. The greater is the error, the greater is the curvature. So, 0.4% means a very larger universe than just 4%.

I wish I had software like this! I mean, I have Universe Sandbox, it's fun and all, and you can make a row for a size comparison and let them rotate without things getting hairy: just adjust the sim settings. These videos are awesome!

    • @rogerhodge1448
      @rogerhodge1448 ปีที่แล้ว

Btw, turn off the collision, fragments, and temperature, then just go to the sim settings and change the gravity from 1.00 to 0.00. Or I guess you could turn off the gravity option on the panel with the first three settings. Idk what it would do...

There's a set alphanumeric logic set for naming stars. So there are 'types' of names. I.e. each nominal type refers to logic of category, shape size general location in universe etc. It's like having your gps coordinates as your name. Of course there are exceptions.
