Maybe what we saw there was not the son and the Minecraft instance getting deleted, but just the instance of Minecraft, meaning there was still hope. And we see Purple sitting there. If he could have broken the door, he could still retrieve his son.

23:52 if you look closely you can see that one of Pig’s powers is “Techno Power”. The fact that Alan and his team can make the most action packed and heart warming stick series ever and still be able to honor a legend is amazing
The fact that Alan and his team can take Stickman and Minecraft, be able to merge the two together, and be able to make a film that takes you on a emotion roller coaster ride and give it a good story is incredible! Props to Alan and the Team!
I loved the musical bit with purple. I am a bit sad that purple isn't a permanent team member now. A full rainbow (minus indigo if you must) would have been kinda cool.
This. This is what the pinnacle looks like. It's perfection. It has it all. A summit that I had the pleasure to contemplate, from none other than the author of my childhood memories. Thank you Mr. Becker. Thank you to everyone on the team. Thank you for this. And congratulations~
I mean, I'm sure someone way more versed in storytelling, psychology and worldbuilding could easily make a better story, even though Alan's animations are amazing. The whole premise seems pretty simple, and King's backstory was literally ad hoc rather than deeply intertwined throughout the series
How can an animation with stickmen and minecraft take me on such a rollercoaster of an emotional journey?? I laughed, I cried, I was angry, remorseful, sad, elated and everything in between. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you to you and your team for creating something so amazing.
In my mind, this is the real minecraft movie. Nothing Hollywood can spit out could hold a candle to this. Made with care and attention by those who love the game as much as we do. Characters with heart and depth and a complete story arc. I am honestly moved by how much effort has gone in to this. I can't believe I didn't find this until now.
After seeing "A Minecraft Movie," I can confirm that this stands miles above that movie. Even while watching it, I couldn't help but think about how much better this is than the million dollar slop they churned out.
Idk how ill ever watch another cinematic film as good as this. The music, expressions, and body language. I could never see anything again and id still remember this masterpiece

Alan Becker, your work made me cry. This was perhaps one of the best works of art I have seen in my entire life. You are a master storyteller, and a phenomenal artist, editor, composer, and everything else you are. I would be lucky to see more of your work.
I cannot stress enough how much respect I have for the team that works on these animations. The stories are great, the attention to detail is insane and the sheer amount of chaos that happens during the fight scenes are absolutely incredible. Can’t wait to see what’s in store next!
I have actually no words. Alan over these years you've created such a touching, engaging, exciting and sorrowful story WITHOUT EVEN a need to involve any words and yet still manage to express all those emotions in just a figure animation... Holy crap i couldn't help myself and cried so hard at the end. Its not just a figure animation - its a Masterpiece.
Dude…that’s all I can say about this. Emotions and feelings that were invoked from the plot, all the way to the finer details. The soundtrack brings you into the moment, and the character backstories highlight sympathy towards them. When we dove into the past of Orange and Purple, I had a whole reality check and it opened up perspectives I never considered before. Alan, well done. I didn’t think you could top animator vs animation, but this brought it to a whole other level. Bravo Alan, bravo Edit: Didn’t expect the amount of likes this got. Hope y’all are doing well!
this comment needs more recognition, i know it has 104 likes but it has literally no replies i mean how could something be so liked but not ever commented on?
Right? The emotions were off the charts! 🤯 By the way, if you ever want to create your own epic Minecraft adventures like this, ScalaCube's got your back. It's where creativity meets gaming! 😉
Can't believe how amazing this was with no dialogue what so ever, just watched all 3 seasons by far one of my favorite entertainment series ever made in human history
The beautiful thing about this series is that the emotions are portrayed by the character movements and actions and not words, it quite literally shows that “actions speak louder than words”. This series is something everyone can and should experience, something to be shared around the world.
Alan can make an emotional, heartfelt, and epic series with NO DIALOGUE, animated with Minecraft and stick figures. Why can’t anyone else do something near this level of awesome when they have million dollar budgets and professional actors?
I think what makes this series amazing is the fact that you guys managed to make a series without any words, which means you don't need to translate and/or reanimate it to make it accessible to most of the world
Yes I just watched a 2 and a half hour movie of stickmen in minecraft that had absolutely zero dialogue. Yes it was better than 99% of the stuff big corporations come out with. Yes it was beautiful. Alan Becker, I dont know how you and your team do it, but this is an absolute masterpiece
@@Chiasesolodeplease explain to me, how in the living daylights you find a show about toiet seats with heads fighting people with cameras as their heads even remotely entertaining.
I absolutely LOVED this season. There are no words to describe how I feel about this whole story. It was absolutely amazing and I can't believe something like this came from youtube. The fact that this all started from simple nonsense to a full blown story and deep lore is just incredible. All the fights were so well animated, the music was amazing, even the characters and story were so deep and unique, made me tear up even. I genuinely loved this whole series and cannot wait for more stuff. Once again, genuinely loved everything about this series, I hope you are as proud of it as everyone else is.
I can’t imagine 2010 Alan would believe where he’d be right now. Animator vs Animation has come so far, from a harmless comedy short to an engaging series which is BASICALLY A MOVIE. Excellent work.
I love how this went from a stick figure fighting its animator to 5 stick figures fighting a king that’s trying to destroy Minecraft forever. Congratulations, Alan!
the cooking scenes that bookend this whole season are such a perfect example of recontextualization. its such a benign and innocuous event in the beginning, but at the end, after everything everyones been through, after they were all so far away from home for so long, an identical cooking scene becomes such an emotional ending. theyre home! and everything is ok now💛 huge thanks to alan and the team for making this series happen
@@Duke12gageThey’re basically saying that the season started with a failed cookout which prompted this whole journey, and ended with a successful one after the journey was over.
The last 40 minutes of this season never fails to get me all coked up. I know everyone is saying that we should turn this into a Netflix adaptation, but can you imagine how Hollywood would ruin this beloved series? We should all be thankful that Alan Becker spends all this time to give us this much action and story for free. We should never take this kind of work for granted.
There are thousands of stickman animations and animations themselves. Only a handful of them have a story line like AVM and AVA. Not only Alan and his team's animating and musical skills are amazing, their imagination and planning is over the top. They manage to combine kid friendly fights with emotional backstories and powerful struggles together, and hardly any movies can compare.
1:14:11 not even mojang could create such a fascinating and amazing backstory of the warden, and yet you did it, or its just me that didnt saw the latest updates
I consider this to be one of the finest movies ever made. These characters convey more with their mostly silent gestures and body language than most actors can with a whole arsenal of words. And such a poignant story, too! I've just rewatched it and enjoyed it just as much as the first time! The creators of this deserve Oscars!

Let's appreciate how much Alan Becker has grown ever since. From drawing stickmans and tackling them, to making an actual great ass movie series, This has been a masterpiece for Alan, Man I'm gonna miss this series so much
Was streaming this on discord two days ago as a joke movie night to my friends. When they asked why I was watching stickmen I said calmly and unabashedly the damn thing had made me cry twice. They joked and didn’t really seem to believe me, carrying on convos and playing other games over the 2 hours. Realized during the Herobrine sequence it was dead quiet and they didn’t start talking again until credits. 😂
I remember suddenly realising that The King was the underdog in this story when Herobrine joined the fight. He was already fighting an 11 v 1 battle and winning, then the devil himself started beating on him. Then I remembered why he was doing all this in the first place, the music intensifies and he’s still not backing down from the fight. Suddenly I was rooting for the bad guy.
The fact that blue knew that the piglins doesn't were with him in the first place and he doesn't want to hurt them in the piglinwar was just heartwarming. And yes I cried even though I don't cry. Edit:I know it's been 3 whole months but I've just noted jet that pigstep goes for 6 minutes straight.
YES! Thank you! I was looking around waiting for someone to say something about that! We know he didn't want to hurt his friends since he wasn't that shy about killing the Pigmen :)
This went from just a simple stick figure destroying his pc to a storyline with lore and has all the features of a movie, betrayal, sadness, adventure, and action which makes this a great series. Alen deserves better
These 2 and a half hours were worth every second... The music, the sound effects, the story... Down right brilliant. Now to pray for season 4, if it will ever exist. Seriously though, well done Alan, as well as everyone who helped create this masterpiece. It's truly amazing.
If Season 4 exist maybe isntead of someone human being the villain it should be a virus or a glitch (like what killed the King's son) taking over the minecraft metaverse or something Season 4 could have potential aswell but it would take a lot of thought and good story writting to make a good or even better season
2010 alan would be proud of you. As someone who has been watching since season 1 you had me crying harder than my brain could program the whole series.
2 questions i had and only realized recently the answers how. 2:07:00 - how does purple have an elytra? answer: this takes place *after* AVM 9, and purple got the elytra from the end dimension, now how did purple get to the town? uh idk 1:49:30 - where did green get the elytra? answer: when purple got fish hooked, they took off their elytra and green grabbed it, although easily able to miss it.
To think Alan had ambitions to work at PIXAR, before he was turned down. I mean, I'm sure someone way more versed in storytelling, psychology and worldbuilding could easily make a better story, even though Alan's animations are amazing. The whole premise seems pretty simple, and King's backstory was literally ad hoc rather than deeply intertwined throughout the series

Finally, The King's War story arc in its entirety. Thanks to Alan and the team for this incredible journey.
