The story line is not bad. It’s good actually. Make me wanna continue watching. Just what I can’t get over my head is, who gonna hijack an airplane but know nothing about its standard procedures?

5 months late reply but when you think a out it from the perspective of the masterminds, they never intended to have a perfect, discreet heist. The people onboard were just pawns carrying out orders, the plan was always to eventually do the media release anyway

I kind wished it landed but only to refuel (hijackers some how manipulated the airport ground to get fuel for the plane) and take off to somewhere else for again for season 2. It's going to hard now to create a story if they are to do a season 2. Unless its Hijacking of ship perhaps lol.
But it was truly an exceptional series nevertheless

2 questions from this recap…
1. Why was the captain sitting in the right seat and the FO in the left?
2. Why didn’t they just try to have the FO land the plane since she’s typed in A330, she would also know the code to open the flight deck door and so would the flight attendants…

Yes there is an autopilot, but someone needs to tell it what to do, removing both pilots from the flight deck is a horrendously stupid idea. Pilots get rerouted, they have to avoid weather, avoid traffic, make decisions during the flight of and of course, answer radio calls. Neither the negotiators or the hijackers should have suggested or accepted to remove both pilots from the flight deck

Um… the Inflight entertainment screens show you where you are so yes you could know.
2. When you’re in the air, the door is only ever opened by a pilot pressing a button to unlock it. There is a code for a flight attendant to gain access but it’s only for when a pilot is incapacitated. It sets off a 30 second alarm of sounds and lights, allowing a pilot to override it. If they don’t in those 30 seconds, the door then unlocks only for 5 seconds. So yes, anyone could’ve poked it in if they knew it but it’d be like pressing on an air horn for 30 seconds and hoping the hijackers don’t hear it or notice the strobe lights in their face.

The Embraer 190 and 195 have a camera on front of the flight deck door for example.
He had a phone at the beginning of the hijacking and did'nt alert his wife to notify the authorities???

Thanks for the recap as I watching with my gal but left the room when the pilot was deciding if he should open the door to the hijackers so they can kill everyone AND his flight attendant girlfriend instead of just his girlfriend. Then this sensitive pilot boyfriend beats the hell out of his female copilot so he can open the door to prevent his girlfriend from getting the hell beat out of her. Suddenly I realized this was a comedy parody film and I realized why the pilot looked so much like Leslie Nielsen! What ensued was so many laughable moments (the passengers talking shit to the hijackers whose best response is “shut the f… up” is gold :) that my gal kicked me out of the room (I lied, I didn’t voluntarily leave). Anyway, if you are looking for the most comedy gold since “snakes on a plane” or Harrison Ford zip-lining “GET OFF MY PLANE” then you’ve come to the right place! ✈️ 😂
Those people are cowards for not fighting the hijackers. Life is boring if you don't take risks. Don't be like those passengers that let them win....

Ridiculously the writers added so much complexity to a hijack. It would’ve been a good story in its simplest form but added layers actually cause more fatigue and impatience rather than intrigue and interest.
Pathetic show at the end all thanks to the Writers

Writers: if a plane shuts off due to no fuel, the plane will not explode even on crash landing. Why? Because there’s NO FUEL.
Also, if a plane engine explodes during a crash, your plane will be on fire. There’s no way an engine will rip off and the airplane skin won’t be damaged. So then you have fuel that, during the explosion, will be scattered all over.
Seems like a good show but I can’t get past that.

The fact that they couldn't be bothered to know the difference between a gun firing blanks, and a fake gun is very par for the course. I guess it doesn't much matter. Apple's target demographic is the average Californian. They couldnt tell the difference between a glock 17, and a colt 45. The characters are also fairly unlikable, and also very dumb.

Problem with the show is for any reasonable thing the charatcers are idiots, but for any impossible task they become psychic 999 IQs
