    Another way to confirm your ethanol content if you don't have a test kit or flex fuel sensor is to simply check your LTFT. The tune can be setup to allow you to change the fuel with the engine running for up to 60 seconds, you can then adjust the fueling with the engine running until your LTFT reaches within +- 3%. Please test this at idle and also at light load 3000 rpm with the engine running to confirm that you have correctly set the ethanol content. Finally it takes about 10 minutes for a returnless system to empty the DFI pump and fuel rails at idle, so ensure you do some light driving before attempting to hone in the ethanol content. We highly recommend a flex fuel sensor (with or without CAN BUS integration) to confirm your ethanol reading.

      @@Driven2Review If you are interested in the CANBus flex fuel kit Lund can enable it for you in the tune (its a single switch). The "failed" state without the kit installed is exactly as you have it now with user adjustment. You can then build/install the kit at your own leisure. HPJ Performance in Florida make their own kits and may sell you one. Alternatively contact our support for the reference design and bill of materials if you are interested in building your own (it uses the Zeitronix ECA-2)

    • @PCMTECTuning

      It wires directly into the CANBus system. Depending on the year of the car it may wire into a sandwich plate on your obd port or they may make an intercept harness behind one of the many HS1 CAN modules in the car. We can send you our reference design if you email us.

    I still have my Ngauge and my only complaint is the few mins it takes to swap between my 93 tune and the 93 ghost cam tune. Mines a manual car but it drives fine with the ghost cam tune, no different than my other cammed cars. Low rpm’s are finicky as expected. But once the revs get a little over 1000 it’s pretty smooth.

    • @Driven2Review
      @Driven2Review 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s what I hear. This is one of the reasons I sort of wish I would’ve gotten a manual. I hear they just tend to run better overall

    • @PCMTECTuning
      @PCMTECTuning 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can get the ghost cam setup to idle higher if you want. Lund have refined it quite a bit in the last year, with the PCMTEC multitune it is setup to slow how fast the VCT swings at idle so it takes ~3-5 seconds to blend the ghost cam in, this prevents any stalling issues when switching with the engine running. With a 10 speed you can turn it on and off repeatedly without any stalling issues. We have set up on our own test car a "staged" ghost cam which is progressively more aggressive. This is not something Lund offer that I am aware of but it can be done.

    • @Driven2Review
      @Driven2Review 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What Ben said. That’s the PCM tech in the multi tune that allows you to switch tune slots on the fly :)

    • @PCMTECTuning
      @PCMTECTuning 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Using the PCMTEC multitune. Ghost cam is a gimmick that we show off regularly due to how obvious it is on a video, however the main use of the Multi tune is progressive power tunes, power by gear (eg different timing, throttle limits for big power cars), rolling anti lag for turbo cars, variable launch RPM, different fuels (eg people running exotic fuels), flex fuel, etc. We personally would recommend the Multitune if you are getting other features added, just for ghost cam on the fly (whilst it is funny to show off) would not necessarily be good value.

      Hey I’m excited for ya! The only thing I would personally do, is if you’re not looking to ever boost your car, if I were you, I would invest in a throttle body and injectors/fuel pump. Hey I got the anti-lag and want to make sure I'm doing it right since it also has that soft variable limiter. While rolling I press cruise off, then resume, then adjusted my rpm. When I was ready, I rolled into throttle, press and held down cruise off, floored it, then let button go. Seems to work but didn't build much boost. Is this method rolling anti-lag or was that the variable limiter? Thanks,

      There are various setups that Lund (and other tuners) offer. Variable RPM limit and rolling anti lag are separate features, they are usually combined however unless you have a turbo car anti-lag would not typically be enabled as it simply generates heat for no real reason.
