    Thanks for this idea. My ac unit always gets dirt splashed up in the coils after a rain and we have had lots of rain in the past 2 weeks.

    Looks great! You're lucky to have a nice flat yard. Both my condenser units sit on a slope that continually erodes away when it rains and I'll probably wake up one morning to find both units rolled down the hill. I'm not really sure how to remedy this situation other than installing retaining wall blocks and gravel. I blame the installer/builder as there are better areas around my house these units could have been placed.

    • @XxMrFrijolesxX

      my condenser also sat on a sloped slab... I fixed this by adding more concrete to the existing slab and leveled it out... now the condenser sits perfectly level

    • @ivantheDIYguy

    Thank you for showing us how to do this. Now, I believe that I can do it myself. I need to get new A/C units,b ecause mine gonna cost $4000+ to fix. So, I am trying to think of how to make it more efficient like you said. To me, a new A/C unit is a big purchase. It's like $14000+ in Houston, Texas. But, you have to have it here, so I see that it has to be done.

    • @ivantheDIYguy
      @ivantheDIYguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hope everything goes well for you. That's a lot of money, but yes you definitely needed one down there. To make it even more efficient you should use your hose once in awhile to remove dust, dirt, and other stuff that gets stuck in there to help improve airflow👍

    Nice work, thanks for the video. Quick question though - scrape the land, put top soil, landscape cloth, tulip/other flower, and the rocks. Is this series of event? Also how did you ensure rain water isn’t an issue to this area? I mean will rain water be a problem or will they drain out and how? Thanks

    • @ivantheDIYguy
      @ivantheDIYguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Rafi! Yes, this is the series of events. After scraping the yard the reason I put top soil is to make sure that the land is slanted away from the house. When it rains, the water will stay away from the house and the rest will just go down through the landscape cloth. In the beginning of the video I've used a peace of wood to make sure the ground is slanted away from the house.

    • @rafiahmad4090
      @rafiahmad4090 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks ! Two more questions :
      1. Won’t the no dig edge block and sustain the water in landscape area? How will water flow and away from house through edge?
      2. What is the purpose of landscape cloth?
      Will appreciate if you can clarify. Tx

      Can you pls clarify, thank you

    • @ivantheDIYguy
      @ivantheDIYguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rafiahmad4090 sorry for a late response. The edge wouldn't be a big problem it's not that tall and it doesn't go underground. You can always drill few holes into it if you want or simply not use it at all. The purpose of the clothe is to prevent the weeds from growing under the rocks.👍
