I can vouch for the Moons MC V3 taillight. I was torn between the regular Leatherpros and the EZ Mount ones. Like you said, I wanted the regular ones but I wasn’t sure about the extra hassle of deleting my rear turn signals. I decided to just do it. Deleting the turn signals was a lot easier than I thought and the Moons MC taillight install was no problem. It’s really bright, I love it.
They're awesome, I like how they clean up the whole look. They're also smoked and offer black trim for the light as well. They also offer a kit for the M8 softails. $700 for anything is steep, get what you like, and worry about the hard stuff when you get to it. It's a lot easier than it looks.
Thanks 😊🙏. Some of my fellow riders asked if I had electrical issues with my bike(after they saw my brake lights) 😆. They get the job done, I have it set to a mild strobe. There's a blaster option too.
Slapping on a 2in1 exhaust on my 2023 Lowrider S. Purchased EZ mounts but haven’t put them on yet because bike is getting customized at LA Harley. Just wondering how they’re gonna look once the stock exhaust has been replaced.
Very good review and video, Dude. I have Kind of Strut Lights, micro 3 in 1 backlights on my fender. I don’t know how it looks on the EZ LP‘s because the notch is much bigger. But safety first. I want to be seen. The other thing is I have 2 Pipes on my LRS 117, little bit shorter as the stock Pipes. I think I go with the EZ‘s. I can‘t try cause we have no shop in Germany. Have to order this from the US market. Kind regards from the german Alps Stefan
Thanks for sharing! You could also purchase the triple play unit from Custom Dynamics, it turns your regular brake lights to strobing brake lights. It’s a real eye catcher
Do the EZ mount bags just look more full in the video, or is that a thing? I want the nice clean narrow look but i dont want to change my taillights lol
One thing you did not mention is the ez mounts will work with the stock exhaust. Unfortunately, being in California and owning a ‘21 model there are no tunes available so, I am stuck with the stock pipes for now. I did not go ez mount though, I had to fab up some adapter plates that raise the bags up 1.5”. It’s not ideal, but the way it has to be. Also I went with the moons tail light so I didn’t need the cutouts for the signals. Thanks for the video.
Someone else brought that to my attention, Harley is probably waiting of the CARB approval for the new tuner. Harley could've kept the old tuner plug, and avoided the problem. Could you purchase the cable from out of state? #41000979 There's been a few in the FB group running their pipes without a tune.
@@tn16397 sellers on eBay also don't really care for these restrictions. But when all else fails, hopefully you know someone outside of California willing to ship it into the state.
Dang, it’s an old video. Maybe I’ll upload a new one soon, but ez mount can be mounted with stock pipes and turn signals. V3’s need turn signal relocation and new exhaust.
I was wondering the same thing. I think the ez mount is only for 2018 and up. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. I’d buy these now if they fit 2016-17 FXDLS models.
You won't be disappointed with these bags, they're great! I haven't done much riding since the birth of my son, I'd say follow Aram Pittman on IG. She usually posts great group rides, and often.
With the EZ mounts, how much space do you lose on the interior? Also does the back of the bag surface touch the taillights? Any chance of them messing up the paint on the taillights?
The bags are expandable, you don't lose much space. The EZ mounts don't have the gap towards the front of the bag, but they are slightly shorter than the regular ones. Only complaint I've heard about with the EZ mounts, are the snap on lids. The Viking saddlebags have been notorious with scratching paint. No paint damage issues with Leather Pros.
The EZ mounts works with stock exhaust but you already deleted the signal lights. You'll have an ugly gap at the rear of the bike, just swap your exhaust and get the regular bags.
You can use both, you can Y split the wire or connect the wires in the JAE connector. LED use about 80% less voltage/energy than regular halogen lights. I didn't use a relay for my alloy arts.
EZ mounts will mount with stock exhaust and turn signals, while the other non EZ will require signal light relocation and probably a different exhaust.

Magnus did you do a full fender also
Hmm i like how it looks with the lights "in" the bags.
Enjoyed this episode!
Long time sub here!
In stop and go traffic with people looking down at their phones. That strobe catches their eyes.
Thanks 😊🙏.

I have the EZ mount because the kuryakyn tracer led are awesome
I have Kuryakyn parts on my other bike, I didn't know they also made lights. They have a smooth bright neon glow to them, they look great.
I have the leather pros on my Fxlrs. Highly recommend them
They're well worth the $700!

Both look great 👍.
Yes they do.

They look full with the light, but I would lean towards relocating the turn signal for a cleaner look.

Yes, and the stock exhaust.
What’s up man. I got a 2016 low rider s dyna. Do you know if the ez mounts will fit on the 2016 low rider s? Thanks
you can buy the dyna saddlebags
