    Hi! I'm Thai. I'm so very thankful you guys to enjoy Thai snacks, especially Milk tablet, because this product is one of the royal projects for solving excess milk supply during 1960.

    4:16 OMG!! I'm Thai and I can say you're so lucky found those milk tablets. It's hard to find even I live in Thailand. This brand is made by the Royal Project which is tastiest one. I've never tried that again for many years. I wish I could find them. Lucky you.
    And dried fruits (Dried Strawberries and Tomatoes) from Doi Kham brand are made by the Royal Project also, which are my favorite too.
    FYI, Goodbye in Thai is "Laa Gon Krub (male) or Laa Gon Kha (female)" BUT! we usually say that when we'd never see friends/family again for a while or any more. So it sounds ridiculous if you say "Laa Gon Krub" while you're gonna have the next video very soon. So, you would say "Sawaddee Krub" instead because it can also be like saying goodbye or like most Thai people say "Bye bye" :D

    The milk tablet is made by Thai Royal Project that use good quality milk unlike other brands. It's cheap because Royal project' aim is that ppl to have good quality products to eat in non-expensive price and to support local agriculture. But nowadays their products so famous among tourist, it run out of quickly and hardly to find.

    Love your channel. The Lay's potato chip flavor is Miang Kham, a mixture of peanuts, shallots, dried shrimp, ginger, coconut and lime bits, topped with a shrimp paste sauce and wrapped up in a betel leaf. I also like the pizza Pretz best of those snacks. They do go good with beer. However, ahi poke is the perfect beer food. I lived in Hawaii for 15 years and have lived in Thailand for the last 10 years. Of all things, Teddy's opened a few stores here in Thailand. I liked your sleepy review of Teddys. We have another restaurant chain called Mokuola which tries to be Hawaiian, but it's really a Japanese version of some Hawaiian grinds.

    • @TabiEats
      @TabiEats  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wow. Teddy's opened up in Thailand? I am surprised! How is it there? And yes, we have lots of those Mokuola places here in Japan. Not Hawaiian food at all.

    Glad you guys liked the Thai snacks. Many snacks here have Japanese names even though they don't resemble anything in the snack, funny right? Asahi, Kirin, and Sapporo beer are also becoming more popular here and 7-11 now has frozen edamame and arabiki sausages too - my two favorite beer snacks, lol.

    Hello from Thailand! Thanks for a great review!
    Taro has nothing to do with the plant. It's just a brand name of long strip fish snack in Thailand. Usually the most popular one is the spicy flavor (There's also a very spicy one which I prefer)
    The milk candy one is the milk tablet. It has a long history since the beginning of introduction of milk in Thailand. It was invented by the King's project to make children familiar with milk products

    Great Video!
    That milk tablet candy is called..: "Royal Chitralada Milk Candy" As many people mentioned below, it's a candy that was result of a project started by one of the last Thai Kings. It was made in time where they had excess of milk and didn't know what to do with it. It's one of those things you have to try when you are in Thailand as it can only be found there!

    Lays = the appetizer of the traditional herbal wrapping salad. it comes with sticky sweet sauce.
    Taro = brand
    the tablet candy is from the royal project. Milk and Chocolate. It's Candy.
    You should try pretz Larb flavor😊
    Bento = brand
    Orange- chili paste
    Blue - seasoning probably with original sauce. Sweet chili sauce or chicken sauce.

    Sanichi how can you not know what taro is your from Hawaii where it's used the most in the USA other than Asia , taro is basically a super starchy root vegetable treated like a potato it's called ube in Tagalog and probably known as use in most countries

    • @TabiEats
      @TabiEats  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha. No I do know what taro means in Hawaii. But I think this is just the name of the brand and has nothing to do with the vegetable. In fact, I think it's more like Taro, the Japanese name.

    タイの味付け大好きです(*^_^*) パクチーも病みつきになりますよね🎵 日本のものですがカルディーのパクチーチップスとパクチースープが滅茶苦茶美味しくてハマってます💛 本場タイの方にも美味しいのかな?っていつも思いながら食べてますw

      カルディーのパクチースープは最近販売されたばっかりで最初売り切れで中々買えなかったんですw 顆粒でお湯で薄めるだけの簡易なインスタントスープなんですがコリアンダーの香りが強くてパクチー好きにはたまらない商品ですw 温かいそうめんを入れたり海老を頭ごと茹でたお湯で作ったり色々オリジナルバリエーションが出来て本当におすすめですよ(*^_^*)

    snack #2, very weird translation, doesn't make sense at all. Nori in Japanese is Kim in Korean, so it means just seaweed seaweed. LOL. I've never had it before and now I wonder how it taste like.

    Actually the "5" on the squid package came from "5 bath(35 bath = 1 us dollars)" as it's price

    Dudes, Taro is but the name of the brand. The name of the snack itself, though, I do not know, but they claim that it's made of fish.

      And that tablet milk-you're right, it's candies! In fact, it's mainly compressed powdered milk. Nice seeing you enjoying those snack :D (I 100% assure you that it's not medicine.)

      I think the reason that dried longan is brown is because the process of making it involves heat and the heat burns the natural sugar that longan contains hence the resulting colour. ***Tip: you can make juice by boiling it and sweeten it to your liking, if it's not sweet enough-very refreshing especially in summer!

      The number 5 on the squid snack, branded "Bento", is its price in THB. That's roughly 14 JPY, or 0.14 USD.

    gomen, but I kept being distracted by Shinichi's cap. It seems that he has an odd tan on his forehead or that his cap leaves a shadow on his face??? It caused me to forget what else I wanted to say! x- p
