looks nice!! I always ignore the date and go for sight, smell, taste and texture to assess whether its edible or not.. Too much food is wasted by people looking at the best before date nonsense.
I agree I used to work as a forklift driver in the 80s they never had best before dates then, we were sending canned foods out at least 5 years old, never had an issue
The only thing that I really check the date on,is milk, I buy a gallon as it’s cheaper, but I live alone so I look for the longest sell by date I can find in the supermarket, when I use it till hopefully it’s finished before it sours
@@fatandy I worked at Mortons when I left school in 1982 and then Dedham Vale bacon factory in Kessingland after that. Some of the things I saw in the bacon factory would put you off bacon for life. The biggest shocker for me what when i worked for the new Tesco Superstore when it opened near Pleasurewood Hills. New supermarkets always get overstocked to start with and they were compacting dozens of beef joints and other food for animal feed just because it was a day over its sell by date. Perfectly good to eat, such a shocking waste.
Andy, I have been buying that for years and it has never let me down. I normally do some garlic bread with it. I usually buy the smaller portion meal for one when I get a money off deal if I buy 3 pasta dishes.
I absolutely love the ready meals from M&S - I'd definitely recommend that you try their Four Cheese Ravioli, it's delicious. Happy New Year, Andy and I wish you a very successful 2025.
That was cheap for £2.70 because the quality of marks and Spencer's food is right up there with some of the best and with no nasty additives and strange ingredients that you can't pronounce😂. 👍
That's the BIG BOY 800g serving. The regular one is designed for a single person & one of my favs. I think this size is for two with garlic bread but at that price you can eat as much as you want & throw the rest. TOP TIP on the yellow stickers. They actually reduce that days date code the night before so you can buy them first thing in the morning. They do a 2nd reduction a couple of hours before closing but those get grabbed in seconds as they are so cheap.
Yes, I have had it Andy, (also bought on a yellow sticker😊) . I liked it but thought it was still expensive even at the reduced price! But M&S do have some great yellow sticker bargains and the best time to get them, at my local one anyway, is after 6pm👍
Ilove ms delicious just a heads up I tried a pukka chicken slice from Sainsbury's yesterday truly terrible idont know if you have eaten them ...ms food amazing
Yes i have tried it with a yellow sticker and it is tasty, but I think I told you once before, a mate of mine is a manager at my local M&S,so he gives me a call before the yellow labeled food goes onto the shelves, and he goes through a list of what's going to have a yellow sticker on and then I give him my list what i want him to save for me, it's not what you know it's who you know 😅👍
And it never says on the back of ready meals that you can warm them up if defrosted in a saucepan which i find healthier, not warmed up in a plastic container which is full of harmful chemicals, but if you believed everything you wouldn't eat 😅👍
Is £3 per person that expensive Andy, and as it’s 800g with a nice salad, and a piece of bread yo should be able to get 3 meals out of it.I know it would be enough for three meals for me, and I am far from a skinny person who only nibbles on their food.😂
Sorry on this occasion I have to disagree with you £6 for quality is not unreasonable that with a nice piece of bread great meal for 2 under a tenner 🍛👍
@fatandy it's not about price of pasta it's about the quality of the ingredients that accompanys it sometimes there is no substitute for quality still love what you do get well soon & best wishes to kay really hope she feels better soon 🥰👍
I had the M&S Lamb Rogun Josh last night only their normal range . Blooming lovely taste , lots of nice soft lamb . Each to their own but for a extra couple of quid it's better than the normal supermarket stuff , but can't afford it all the time 👍 ATB Andy

Never had anything bad from MnS,❤ thanks for vid.
Thanks
What is the best time to usually get yellow sticker items from supermarkets?
A lot of people reckon around 5-6pm, but I went in the morning and and there was a fair few 👍

Definitely got to go for yellow stickers at M&S my budget don’t stretch that far for the normal price 😂👍
It looks quite big, is it for two. I’ll give it a try.
Yeah definitely for Two 👍
I would not pay 6 quid for that!!! Well done!!!
Yeah I wouldn’t either 👍
M&S Andy, you can't go wrong with the quality of their foods. May be a bit pricey generally but it's worth it in most cases.
It is good quality, got to go for yellow stickers then you know you have a Bargain 😂😂👍

Definitely quality food 👍
Ilove ms delicious just a heads up I tried a pukka chicken slice from Sainsbury's yesterday truly terrible idont know if you have eaten them ...ms food amazing
Haven’t had the Sainsbury’s ones, as we haven’t got a Sainsbury’s until later this year 👍

Inside information 😂😂😂👍
Try doing your own pasta so easy to do.
I agree

😂😂 that’s true 👍
Originally £6 😅 for that id want a raffle ticket to win a trip to Tuscany as well!!

@MegGriffin.0 🤷♂️🤷♂️

When you think about it pasta is very cheap, but for convenience i know what you are saying 👍

She’s getting there slowly, she has really been hit hard with this virus/cold but hopefully on the mend 👍
@fatandy that's good please give her our best wishes❤️

Thanks I agree there curry’s are exceptional 👍
£6 for that RIP OFF . I wouldn't even pay £2.70 more like £1.50
M&S are good quality though £2.70 is reasonable
I wouldn’t pay £6 no way, but thought it was not a bad price 👍
Bearing in mind though this is 800g. Average microwave dinner about 400g so actually its not too bad to be fair.
@kazali6111 wouldnt pay no more than £3.50 though
Its top quality and worth every penny, big size also.❤
You say not again for £6, but it's a meal for 2, so £3 per person. I'd say that's worth it.
👍
