@AlexLococo im not denying that it could in fact still be used as a flail for farming. im simply stateing that it is no longer used for this purpose. im not denying that it has many uses im only saying that it is above all a martial arts weapon. i just think if your going to use it as an acrobatic sport you should at least incorperate a few strikes since it is in fact a weapon. i just believe you should give respect where its due and to not use strikes is disrespectful to the weapon.
@AlexLococo yes i agree there is more way than one to disrespect a weapon. i dont think using it as an acrobatic tool is disrespectfull i just think using it in this way without incorperating any strikes is disrespectful. i dont understand how attacking somone with a weapon is disrespectful, after all that is what they are made for. unless the other person dosnt know you are going to attack them.
@AlexLococo nunchaku is a martial arts weapon, so respectively i think that is how it should be used. i just think that if ur using a weapon u should at least incorporate a few strikes or else it is disrespectfull to the weapon. u can stil incorporate strikes without making the tricks tacky. for fun or for showing off, a weapon is still a weapon and it should be treated with the respect a traditional martial arts weapon deserves.
one thing guys, whats the song in the video, and if possible, please upload a direct link to download it. Thanks PS can I use the same song for the world cup entry? ( really gets me into hyper mode )
@FreestyleNunchakuNet well said its just my personaly opinion that the nunchaku is a weapon and should be used as one even in freestyle otherwise i think it just kind of defeats the purpose but that is only my opinion and the world doesnt conform itself just to make me happy lol, I must say that for 4:24 seconds i was completely ingrossed in this video, it was very enjoyable, well done.
@AlexLococo i know the history. i have studied in the art of genbukan ninpo and have learned this from my teacher. ur argument is invalid because these objects are no longer tools. they are all now considered to be martial arts weopons. the nunchaku were also used by firemen to warn of fires and a similar object was used in europe by the people who would go around to collect the dead. since it is now a weapon and not a tool it should be treated as such.
5 years ago... oh well. I believe this is DJ Pablo - BBoys War. No idea who that is, it's just a remix from the soundtrack of a game called Commandos 3.
You know, a lot of people get into nunchaku because Thundercats was their favorite TV show ever, and they don't even realize that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have a guy who did nunchaku, or that Bruce Lee did nunchaku. Nyah ha ha-aaaa, you like Thundercats, that's why you got into nunchaku, nyah-ha
@AlexLococo this is not the past this is the present, it is now a weapon not a tool. and technicaly if you want me to side with your comments then using the nunchaku for showing off would be completely pointless. i pray to the gods that one day you shall find the wisdom to lead you from your misguided judgement of this topic.
i thought that the people shown were very impressive but i personaly dont see the point in this, in this video i saw almost no striking at all, so while very entertaining this isnt martial arts moves this was just showing off, people seem to forget that this is a weapon so with out showing striking it is not martial arts only show. Yet i do greatly respect the talent of these people. Just my personal point of veiw.
