  • George Karl has used every opportunity to emphasize how frustrating it was to coach Carmelo Anthony, taking several jabs at his former superstar throughout the years. This week was no different, when he responded to a tweet quoting Melo’s championship aspirations keeping him up at night, saying quote: 'And it kept our coaching staff up at night a decade ago when we were stressing the importance of team play and defense!' Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react to Karl's comments towards his former player.

You can say the same about Melo. He had issues with Jeff bzdelik, billups called him selfish, stoudemire admitted Melo killed linsanity in NY, Phil Jackson didn’t want him, the Rockets front office didn’t want him despite Chris paul getting him there. His play style has always made it hard for him to win championships let alone go on deep playoff runs and the fact he wasn’t willing to come off the bench made it worse.
