This is the only one of 5 videos I just watched that mentions double clicking to change the lv disconnect as long press doesn't work without doing that first. Thank you!

Thank you very much, you helped me a LOT getting the low voltage cut-off properly set !

Thanks for the tutorial on using the control button. The instructions that came with the tester were confusing. One point of warning I did not see covered was the direction to set the coarse and fine current adjustment knobs to zero before attaching the battery. Not doing this may lead to a failure of the instrument, with a distinct 'pop'. I am having better luck with my second tester so far.

This is marked from Amazon as Frequently returned item.
First one blew up trying to connect a 12 volt battery to the screw on terminals. No instruct
tions & package shows it got a second life at amazon. Do I try another one? FYI current knobs were turned down as instructed.

Great job, wonder if the losses would be identical if you were to use the battery connection terminals. Also for newbies gives some protection cutting off early, better low than higher.
Tested my go labs 300 power station and it performed about ten percent less than expected so your video was very helpful, keep it up and stay safe!

Glad I could help! I've tried every one of the possible terminals on this thing and as far as I could tell they were all identical in their readings.

I have watched a bunch of these videos and none of them tell how to know if your battery is good or not and what to look for. i have a 48v, 15.6 ah 748.8wh battery. If i test this battery, what settings would i run this machine at and what would be good vs bad results?

I like it but cant figure out how to get it to trigger pd or quick charge outputs to test battery banks.

There is a problem with the voltage display. I’ve got one to discharge my LFP batteries and also got wrong voltage readings

yeah, I think this is quite common. You just have to see how off it is and adjust the cut offs accordingly.

Yeah, same here. I got one, and The voltage measurement is inaccurate and on a curve. The % of error increases as the battery discharges.

Think I could use this to test a solar panel under a load?

    • @TheWilltoBuild
      @TheWilltoBuild  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Probably not well. Solar panels are going to be variable in their output for one. This device also has a pretty hard limit at 300 watts. But it could kind of work. If you put the panel directly in the sun, and knew that it would not produce in excess of 300 watts, and then connected it to this you might be able to pull the full power from the panel to test it. But again, make sure the specs (voltage, current, total power) of the panel are all within the specs of the device.

your ah reading went away because you triple clicked on the home screen accidently. double click resets line two, triple click resets line three, and 4 clicks to clear line 4

Is there a way to calibrate this type of electronic load tester?

1,5A over USB, that MUST be big voltage loss

Just a note, I do believe you can calibrate this meter. The following video shows the process at 14 minutes in.
