  • in todays video we switch. theflex plate over from the old motor onto the new on and we also do the n54 rear and front main seal diy. these seals are special because you need to inject a special sealant as well as use special loctite primer with a special tool. this process is made very easy using the tool kit made to remove and replace bmw seals. in the next video we will be dropping the engine in the e93 body and bolting. itback up to the transmission.

Loving the videos man. Thank you. Did you get new performance inlets ? If not I definitely recommend before installing the motor because they are a pain to change if you do it while the motor is in. They also add about the same amount of power as downpipes with a tune.

A lot of people suggested that but ultimately I couldn’t find any that matched the oem look. The silicone just looked cheap and I don’t really need them at my power levels. Considering I won’t be driving it much either the aesthetics was most important to me.

Does the flex plate just install right on or do I need a special tool . Does the crank move ?

I just put a tiny dab of blue thread lock and gave it a couple Ugga chugas with my impact.

Joni, with the amount of car related videos you've spammed us over the past few months, should've ended being a mechanic. It seems home flipping and real estate are not as enjoyable careers to you.

I would never want to work on anyone else’s car than my own.

@@JonIbrahim but but Joni, how many cars you've owned that end up being someone else? How quickly you sold the last one it's why I would bet this one won't be yours beyond 2022. Anyways, you are doing the right thing, like a child that enjoys playing with his favourite toy. It's good for your marriage, really :)
