That’s why you better use creatures with evasion like thopters. Or put an eldrazi monument in it and boom. Flying jaggernaut snakes and jaggernaut goats raining from the phyrexian sky.
There's is also a card that gives the rest of your creatures any key word ability or has, it's not hard to trigger either, should be a white card, probably a legendary, though I can't currently recall its name or which of my gfs decks it's in, lol.
I think dragon throne of tarkir does pretty good work in this deck. It does double duty of both stopping your commander from swinging in being vulnerable in that sense and it buffs your board by your commanders power (baseline +7/+7). And if you want to swing out with your commander you can even have one of your 5/3 tokens sit in the throne.
its great in the 99 with the new Urtet. turn all your myr into 5/3s and they keep their counters. Play Dolmen Gate so they have indestructible when attacking
You can't actually make a Juggernaut Tribal with this one, though. It makes everything into a Juggernaut, it doesn't boost Juggernauts themselves. In fact, this card actually _weakens_ most Juggernauts because very few of the already-existing ones benefit from being turned into 5/3s.
@@drakegrandx5914 it's absolutely boosting your "Juggernauts". Every single 1/1 or even 0/0 are getting a huge boost to their P/T. You're right on the fact that you don't actually run any juggernauts since they don't really do anything with this guy.
Thank you so much for doing a video on this guy Mitch! Idk if it will truly be Juggernaut Tribal but this is as close as it gets and I'm gonna run with it!
I think it would be really funny if Someone made their deck around this card ( Not as a commander) by giving it to other opponents, forcing all of their creatures to attack and having some Form of death touch blockers (add passifism to the given card so it can't remove itself)
Shouldn't be too difficult, might not be colorless by the end of it, but that shouldn't be a big problem lol. I would say get cards that can give your creatures/token creatures death touch, indestructible, first strike or double strike, maybe throw in some myriad and proliferate for funsies. The deck will go quite in on making tokens that make people uncomfortable, so some way to pull out the specific cards you need would be a good idea. I've not been playing long, maybe the last couple years, so there's room for improvement to this suggest, lol. I'm making Graaz my commander for a thopter token generation colorless deck, needs work and testing, but it'll be fun lol.
I made a Graaz commander deck, it's actually very fun. What I noticed was also fun was when I put him into my Preston the vanisher deck to make all my 0/1 illusions into 5/3 Juggernaut Illusions.
I have this card in an Otharri commander deck. Long story short, I get an army of 5/3 red rebel juggernaut tokens that grows exponentially every attack
I was in the middle of making a deck for this which was basically myr, then they announced that myr remnants of memnarch. The high mana make this one less viable unfortunately
I already had my list together when I realised that the moment graaz dies I would have to know what each kind of tokens were...I dont really like the token cards and mainly use dice. So I scrapped the idea completely
Mitch I love your videos, but when u say kozi is a Voltron deck it means u haven't seen what he does which is usually play control and use ur enormous creatures like emrakuk to win the game not focusing on kozileks attacks but counter spells and redraw ability(sorry I am drinking)
Dude... LIVING WEAPONS! Equipment that comes in attached to a 0/0 black germ creature token. The equipment always pumps a bit so they dont die on ETB, and the commander buffs them up to 5/3s plus the pump and whatever effect that equipment gives, lifelink, flying, etc. And all living weapons cards are extremely cheap!
That was my immediate thought... Then I thought about interesting other stuff, like adding "The Hive," which becomes immediately better on rate, due to flying, and then the name of the deck became obvious... "To the windows, through the walls..."
@@andrewamann2821 I think you're thinking of Myr Matrix. It's very similar to the hive. The card I'm talking about is different. It's a 2 cmc artifact that as long as it's untapped it gives a player a myr whenever a non token creature etbs. Yeah it's global but you get to make 5/3's instead of 1/1's
@@MandoCalris5236 no, I knew what you referring to... I play Genesis chamber in a few of my decks. It's an excellent coupling with the artifact that gives your non-artifact spells Improvise, if you're not playing mono-colorless. My line of thinking about cards tends towards "What cards are immediately good here, what cards can this make decent, and what stupid shit can I play with this to really get silly?" As an example, I would probably give over a slot in a build like this to Hivestone, despite slivers being not so common these days, because sharing the love is a theme here, but that's just me...
With a colourless commander, can you put an artifact in your EDH deck that has the ability to generate, let's say, white token soldier 1/1? does that not mean that the artifact has a white mana ability, that rendering it non viable for a pure colourless commander?
Prowler's Helm... ...equipped creature can't be blocked except by walls. Graaz... ...juggernauts you control can't be blocked by walls. I would probably build this tank of a commander if I haven't already built Traxos (Scourge of Kroog).
My favorite strat I pulled out one time was a bunch of Eldrazi spawn tokens and attacked with them with Beastmaster's Ascension, making all of them 5/6s. But the problem with that is that as much as it's a surprise massive amount of damage, it's still an enchantment you can just get rid of if you're against it. Having an effect like this being your commander really makes strategies like this awesome, even with the 3 toughness. Really, the only risk is the commander itself being targeted, which there are plenty of support cards to help out with protecting your commander already, even in colorless.
The last ability bothers me because it hurts larger actual juggernaut creatures, so I don't like this card very much because it can't really be a tribal deck and you lose out on the upsides of things like Leveler, being a 10/10 this card turns into a 5/3.
No mention of the inspiration for this card, all the way back to the original Alpha, the Juggernaut, a 5/3 artifact creature for 4 mana that had to attack and couldn't be blocked by walls? Disappointing. I blame Eddie for not knowing his Magic history.
@@StambaughDesignsBellingham The Great Distortion, consistent card draw plus the ability to counter are two things colorless sorely needs. Let alone the specific Eldrazi support to cast him.
Sad that this deck idea will now work so well. No draw engines or spells that reliable draw you cards. It's cool to play 1 spell at a time until you realise that you are playing 1 spell at a time to your blue/black opponent. Also, board removals.
Things are getting to the point where this is a two person job to cover. I blame Eddie for not helping you Mitch.

For years my nickname has been Grazz, pronounced the same as this juggernaut... I have to build this deck, if only on principle. :D
I built a Seton deck for the exact same reason
I hope to have a card with my nickname so I can taunt my friends one day

I'm having a friend alter this dude into Grond, the big battering ram from Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.
Just putting this in the 99 of any token deck immediately makes it more powerful.
