I just successfully replaced the LED backlight strips in my Vizio M-Series. These videos are very, very helpful, but if any of you out there are also fixing an M-Series, just know that there are some significant differences. The bezel on the top and sides is one piece and glued to the TV. The glass is also not held on by the bezel. I didn't realize this until I put everything back together and could see that the glass would literally fall out if I stood the TV up vertically. I had to use double-sided tape and carefully adhere the glass back to the frame. Trying to position a 65" piece of flexible glass perfectly was extremely difficult. I ordered the 2 suction cups and I would highly recommend this to everyone as it makes lifting the glass so much easier. This probably took me about 10 hours of total time, but in the end, for a little over a $100, I have a working TV again.

Unfortunately, my E65 had double sided tape in three places on the edges on the back of the screen. When I attempted to lift the screen with the suction cups, it cracked because it was stuck. The video shoud have mentioned slicing through these three tape points with an exacto knife before attempting to lift the screen. It mentions the fragility of some items but not the screen. The tech in the video just lifts it up without any problem.

Used tape and some long flat curtain rods I had laying around (sounds ghetto but I heard suction cups left marks, and the tape/rods evenly dispersed the weight across THE ENTIRE screen when pulling, so no flex...) to pull a 70" screen I just got for $25. All for one dead led🙃 worked great, highly recommend. Obviously left a little tape residue because it sat for a week while I waited on the new strips, but it was easily cleaned. So I'm happy with it, would try bigger 75"+ using this method if I ever happen to find a deal on one.

No problem. If you need any pictures let me know. Used packing tape on mine, came off super easy pulling the tape sideways (to prevent the tape from pulling the screen outward and cracking) with glue sticking in a few spots, easily cleaned the leftover residue with a baby wipe. Tried on a 60” Vizio, a 65” tcl, and a 70 Samsung so far without cracking any of the screens. Needed my wife to help lift the 70” screen though. I grabbed the two curtain rods from one side, she grabbed from the other side.

Thanks was able to fix my tv. Might want to add the lcd panel is attached in 4 spots. Had to use a box cutter to separate it. One on each side and 2 on the top of the screen.

It's missing sime details. Like when flipping the screen are the boards still on the back with the entire weight of the TV resting on them? And how did he flip the TV? It's suddenly cutscene and the TV is magically flipped. Will the lcd try to fall out when flipping the TV once all the bezel screws are removed?

Hello, I have tried to change the Philips TV screen, but the screen is stuck. How to remove the glue without breaking the screen. I just broke a screen. Do you have a good idea. Should you use a heat gun to soften the glue? Yours sincerely

Hi Jimmy, thank you so much for your videos. I have a LG 42lg10r. A few months ago a wall mounted guitar fell on it's top bar. Immediately there was a thick single purple line down the centre.
So I turned it off and sort of just left it, wanting to throw it out. About a month later I turned it on again and the line was thinner. A few months have passed and now the centre line is almost completely gone, but some colored lines have appeared elsewhere on the screen.
If the TV has been off for a while, the lines are almost full bars of black and as it stays on, the bars become thinner, but they don't disappear or go away like the original centre line.
Please let me know what you think about the problem. It sounds like the T-con board. But I just wanted to be sure before biting the bullet and paying for the part.

Hi, I have a Vizio D65-D2. My Tv comes on has sound and picture only problem is right side is getting dark at top and along the side to the bottom. I have taken the back off and plugged up and checked the lighting on back and all lights are on but right side is dimmer than the rest which is resulting in the darker screen on front. What is my issue and what can I do to fix?
