@@starkk19 I guess it's just wierd because I think of Joker as point center from the offensive viewpoint, while Coach Calipari looks at point center for Bam from the defensive perspective. It's not like Joker plays awful defense tho--like MPJ really gotta work on his, but Jokers is serviceable and works with other players playing defense. Bam is just a way better 1 on 1 defender
The MOST underrated quality of coach is his ability to speak east coast, look west coast, and do all this while living mid coast. 4 admiral qualities.
Love coach Cal I'm from Kentucky and I'm a huge UK fan and a huge fan of all nba players that played at UK. Cal is definitely one of the best if not best coaches in college. He always get the players ready for the next level while competing for a national championship.
And I love my guys or all these guys Ernie Johnson Jr, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal. I missed "March Madness" this year.

College is a different game. Those guys showed their worth enough to all get drafted first round playing next to other 4-5 star guys

It just surprises me that there are kids coming out of high school who are not going through with the idea of possibly playing for Kentucky and John Calipari. Now I know that it's not easy to get in, recruiting is a lot tougher, you have to always satisfy the kids, and everyone wants playing time, but the track record of alumni in the league is too impressive to ignore. And it raises me a concern for next season because he's actually not having a decent recruiting process. In fact, this year's class could be his best in a while since he's now had to attract transfer students to the program and most of his staff moves on to bigger and better roles.

I saw it’s more about development than trying to win the chip every year with freshmen. You can basically a championship team with his players in the nba right now. Can’t really say that about other big name schools like duke, unc, UCLA etc.

He’s trying to say coach cal can’t coach but what happened to duke when they had the 1st and 2nd players drafted with another in the top 8 or so. Coach cal won a chip when AD and Kidd-Gilcrest where the top 2 picks but anyway it’s extremely hard to win with inexperienced freshmen playing the bulk of the minutes. I’ve been saying this for at least 5 years now.

Plus, Cal has made sooooo many final fours, including 2 finals appearances in 10 years, which is literally insane no matter who your players are, especially when they are all freshman
