But if I started comparing myself to guys like you, I would never feel happy, so the thing I learned from someone else in music or almost any human endeavor, is to stop comparing ourselves to others. Especially when we are in the beginner or intermediate state. Superb guitar. I currently suck at guitar, but one day I hope to rock it like you do. Cheers!

Awesome, Dave! :) Dave Murray is one of my influences and favourites, mega talent, criminally underrated, and a properly down to earth, amazing, friendly personality with a kind heart and soul. :) I see Iron Maiden live in Newcastle upon Tyne in April, be my fourth time. Seriously excited. :) I've played the latest Dave Murray Strat, albeit in a guitar store, and it's a great instrument. And indeed as is the Adrian Smith USA Jackson, although I'm no fan of the Floyd Roses but, who am I to criticise, HA! I've even had a play of the Steve Harris Fender Precision Bass (West Ham), the white with the black/silver scratch plate and the different lacquered maple fret board and neck looks stunning - I don't play Bass, but if I did... I think Janick Gers is the only one who doesn't have a signature guitar, although he's a user of Sandberg Guitars. :) Up the Irons!
I was thinking of making my own Murray "signature" Squier as well for a while, but my plans got over budget waaaay too fast! I also really like the black one that Janick plays, but that would require a nitro finish :D Oh and amazing tone BTW!
brill dave! i cant help but think we must have been at some of the same gigs together back in the day.saw maiden 9ish times in't north where u were from, lad ..notts?..and also at reading x2,. dave was my main influence then. he always seemed the 2nd guitarist in the press because of his humble personality i suppose, bit like scott gorham who is mr. reliable..no frills.. all for the song. dave has the frills, he just dont dangle i in you face. i still think their 1st album and no. of beast is best they've done. sorry for the long post but i am passionate about this stuff. i think my house may look a bit like yours,my marshall stack is in the hallway, long since run out of guitar room..but our lass is warming to the idea of a "toilet tele" you're right about the maple neck, sorry dave ,heee, 1 second in...no maple neck. cracking axe and as always, you rawk it dave, you rawk it good! lol I was just thinking "play the trooper, dave, play the trooper" and three seconds later you went and played it. how do you rate encore blaster e6 as compared with vintage reissued v6? know if they have same bridge with push-in trem and staggered drilling?
I found out yesterday, after buying one for £55 on poobay, that the encore blaster e6 is the budget version of a v6. sam deeks has some lengthy videos of him doing work on them... same neck, same decal style, just lesser quality tuners, lesser quality bridge and maybe pickups too with a lighter body. e6 is little brother to v6 and vintage is little brother to fret king. so I've ordered some cream paint for the body, bought a bargain black wilkinson ez locks and trem, black knobs, white text fender decal lol. bit of a cheapy project.
To repeat and validate a comment I made on one of your videos a few weeks back - You truly could play in Iron Maiden as you could in Red Hot Chili Peppers!

Some you juts can't but if the finish is thin enough a craft knife is the best way to go. Juts chip it off. :)
