McDonald's Management Training Video McDonald's Australia Management Development Program (MDP) DVD Copyright McDonald's Corporation, 2004 Ripped from DVD, Sep 2020
11:35 "Joanne's shift starts before she even walks through the door." Ah yes, gotta love the subtle pressure to do unpaid labor for your corporate overlords. My shift starts when I punch in, not a second sooner.
My 1st job was at McDonald's in 2002. I worked there for a couple of months and i can honestly say it was my motivation to go to college and get a degree so that i never have to work in fast food again.
My first job was also at McDonalds. I also decided to go to college. Now I’m in debt up to my eyeballs and make less than what a shift manager at McDonalds makes. Should have gone to plumbing school. Those guys make bank.
Leave Daniel alone! Some times people just have a bad day, want to get through it, and get on to the next day. Demanding smiles from him will only piss him off!!
My McDonald’s looks like everyone is balancing on a tall rope with 30lbs in one hand and 50 in the other….i find it to be a weird day if no one is complaining or threatening to leave😭
I got a job at Subway. By the end of my first day I had been moved to a location down the road and was made an assistant manager. I’m pretty sure it’s because I got there on time and that I could read. I never went back.
As someone who worked at McDonald's around this time, all he got for that price was a senior (8 oz) black coffee. I am not sure what the cost is for a senior coffee now, but that 42 cents is burned into my brain lol
For a second I forget about the whole management training and wonder how clean the floors are. Then I remember, somehow, all of this has to do with an employee named Joanne... [Record Scratch]

This version is weird. I have the Canadian version of the DVD (used to be a McDonald's manager) - it's the same video except this version seems like it's missing all the text on the slides. Also, in the Canadian version it is a called an observation zone, not post.
2004 really looks like the 1980s in 2022!
Omg it does
It does

This can't be 2004, must've been shot in the late 90s.
This was indeed filmed in the mid 2000's.
@@jamesb8305 NO.
Yeah their voices, background music and the quality of the video makes it seem like it’s the 90’s or 00’s
The fact that he keeps calling it a "multi-media production" is very 90s.
Seeing the "Smile" logo on cups in certain shots dates this to 2000 / 01; their slogan at the time was "We love to see you smile."

No but for real lmao
i miss the year 2004 so much

It’s a shame you don’t see any of this type of stuff going on anymore 😞

at 31:28, you can tell this video was made Pre-COVID
at 31:00, the employees apologize.... That doesn't happen much anymore

They offered me manager position cause I was over qualified.
