    ================
    “In some fundamental way, to meditate isnt to have some special meditative experience. But to come back to the mysterious experience of being alive, that we take for granted”
    Jack discusses the fundamental mystery that is our human incarnation, and the methods we can utilize to stay close to that immense presence. Meditation isn’t necessarily about having a mystical experience, but about coming back into the natural mysterious experience of being alive. Within all of us there is a divine seed of consciousness, much greater than the functional matter that we occupy. In meditation, we are invited to return to this sacred space.

    Jack Kornfield, bless his beautiful soul, sure knows how to touch my heart. Can't help crying sometimes at his tender tone and wonderful words.

      Thanks. I don’t get why these long verbose introductions have been suddenly tacked on. 😢

    any one found image of the kenyan flatid bug that jack mentions at 22.30? some imitating lichen

    He's wrong though, we are the food body... that's the miracle, what this flesh can do, that our bodies create consciousness. It's weird that someone who espouses Eastern wisdom also speaks in the dualistic terms of body vs. spirit.

    Jack's great.
    Whoever the heck does the rambling introduction needs to learn that: brevity is the hallmark of wisdom and .... would do better with 15 seconds of commentary rather than the ridiculous 5 minutes of my life he just wasted.

      Patience, Compassion, and Good Will are Buddhist fundamentals.

      Thank you! ❤ Yeah - there’s enough pre-ramble there to earn it’s own separate talk.

      @@jason6360 True that.
      But is a long rambling introduction really necessary? And, if so - why?
