I love the transparency and openness that THEM has had since the first podcast 4 years ago with you guys. So many subtle and major adjustments to the skates, liners, parts etc with each release on top of how they treat their team and riders and promote skating to other niches has made most of us support them more than any other company in recent history. Looking forward to the years to come with people like JJ at the helm and navigating where we can go.
as someone getting back into skating who looked up to jon in the 90s, i was stoked to get a pair of 909s to build my freestyle setup. it has been amazing to see it come back into the public eye. thank all of you for continuing to support & promote blading. y'all are awesome

I think people reverted to what makes them feel free. I don’t know if it has as much to do with happiness as it does freedom. Most people go through life sacrificing happiness in the moment for A future for which happiness is not promised. Skating makes you free. The world is no longer roads, bridges, and plazas. It’s a tapestry and we weave never ending creativity.
I knew Julio was the shit when he called me back after I called his shop. I was expecting someone that works there and fucking Julio to call me back? WTF? I now make sure if I am ever in LA to stop at the shop and buy something, even if I already own it. Fuck it! He has done a lot for our industry.
also shout out to joey and todd. this podcast really did help john slingshot after the first podcast. I heard it wayyy after them popped off so seeing the success is beautiful
Visibility is essential 😃🙌🏻 I think these changing times could be a turning point for the better. If we want to see more people on inline-skates then we have to make some adaptations. One of the changes we must achieve is to completely eliminate the word aggressive. The word aggressive should be deleted permanently from our community's vocabulary. Noone likes aggressive people. Call it ramp-skates or pro-skates or freestyle inline-skates or blades or whatever you want. But not aggressive skater because we aren't aggressive people and we don't want to be associated with aggressive people. We are passionate people. We love our freedom and we love inline-skating. We love rollerblading. We love roller-skating.
