Love these segments! Not trying to be mean or anything but would it be possible to have subtitles for some of the interviewees?

WOW. When you see videos, and achievements like this, you can not help but admire the potential of mankind, but then you watch the news and they are to busy covering Kanye's baby's name to give this wonderful machine two minutes of their time sadness returns to my heart.

The world is not yet ready for a force as powerful as Jamie Hyneman with a supermagnet.
I'd still like to see what he'd do with one.

where can we get details on that NW side experiment?

how much current does cern draw on a daily basis, and what power grid supplies it? who operates that grid?

This comment is for the guy that disliked this video: thanks to the CERN you can watch this video and dislike it, brecause CERN was one of the institutions that helped to develop the internet, they needed to share all the data from experiments like this to scientist around the world, and now because of the huge amount of data that the LHC is generating, they are going to develop a new faster internet, called the grid.

It further solidifies Quantum Field theory and advances experimental accelerator physics, both of which are crucial to (for example) build the nuclear reactors that can power our world tomorrow. An amazing example of such a machine being developed can be found here tae.com/

they're wearing helmets for the same reason you wear a helmet on a construction site and i guess it's underground because if it were above ground people could sneak in and ruin it or something

on the map they draw they don't show you the experiment chamber on the NW side which is for some reason classified.
Makes you wonder what they have found and what technologies they can make from what they have found. Most likely weapon technology but who knows. I better get a real lightsaber out of this damn thing.

Wow, this is the most ignorant section of commenting I have ever witnessed. Shame on all of you for being so scared of something so great that you would call it evil. You have no idea how any of this works, but you know its bad? Sounds VERY small minded, and highly un-intelligent, and somehow reminds me of the Amish.

We come from the universe, god comes from use. Now think if we come from the universe and god comes from use does that mean we are more then god? And I no some will say god created all this. But with out use god doesn't exist. With out the universe we don't exist. And god doesn't exist!!!%&# we have so much more potential its hard to understand so we created tools to understane that, which we come from we are it and it is us. Its time to wake up and understane we been here before. We are enternl
