But we humans have a history of creating new tools that has a deskilling effect, in some cases it is even having a physical impact on our brains. Apparently the hippocampus volume on Taxi Drivers brains in London has become smaller since GPS systems were introduced. The hippocampus is responsible for ”storing” the spatial representation of our environment. Current state of AI is just another tech that still requires humans to do anything useful. This video is surely ”shit” if you ask an professional movie maker. But if that moviemaker with all his/her skills start using Luma for ideation, quick drafts etc, perhaps his/hers final production will be closer to his own vision. The tool auguments his skills. What will happen if we get Super Intelligence and we are no longer needed? Thats another long discussion…. These tools are not at all near that.
