I was in the Navy in 1969-1971 we where on the gunline in Vietnam and where plane guard for two different carriers. I was also separated from the service for medical reasons full honorable..
I’m glad you liked it 🖤 The bearded guy is the guitarist. There were actual veterans in the cast. They do a lot for the military. Thank you for your service and sacrifice ♥️
Thank you you for your support! I am a fan of them already! I was so moved by the idea of the song and the video, I didn't even critique the music! But it was well done! thank you, again, for the suggestion!
Actually he is not the guitarist. One of the guitarists is Zoltan Bathory, who looks similar, but is not in the military. He ( Zoltan ) is however a martial artist who has helped train some military members on self defense and hand to hand combat.
I was in the Navy ( 1984 - 88) I was attached to VAW-124 early Warning Squadron attached to the USS Nimitz ( In other words I worked the Flight Deck of an Aircraft Carrier) I am also rated 100% By the VA for PTSD, this track more than hits home with me!
This song is the reason that every time I see a homeless person I give what I have atm and ask them if they want to get something to eat and drink with me. It really opened my eyes. You never know what they went tru and why they are in that situation.
saw you talk...first ty for service....second this is deep but i hope you get to see happy stuff...my whole fam and friends served...but best to lokk at happy
Next react to FFDP "Gone Away" and "Remember Everything" both Veteran related. Then react to Rise Against "Hero of War." I always recommend these other songs / videos to people who react to this song. Thank you for your service and thank you for the reaction. Many combat vets such as myself seek these reaction videos out. Im guessing bc we like to see that there's people out there that actually care about the sacrifices we made, when it seems like so many others are ignorant to what we go through or simply are too caught up in their own lives to give a damn.
You can tell the veterans from civilians because every single veteran that reacts to this video cries a lot and the single civilian or civilians that do a reaction do not is it because civilians say they understand and don't or the civilians that callus, that is what surprised me about you being navy
(posted this “open letter” elsewhere in the past, making the rounds again this year. contains strong emotion and some strong language, but strong responses are needed) "You saved my life brother" So many of our brothers and sisters need our help. OUR help. And far too many actually need to be saved. Here? At Home? Still? What the fuck?!? Yes, here. Now. And never forget their families. Do something. Get the fuck off your comfy X. Find them. Individually, or with and through some group. There's dozens of good ones. Money is always needed. Your time and tears are even better. When's the last time you were available to just listen and relate? Who'd you give your cell # to? Who do you already know who maybe needs some "strongly encouraged" assistance? Whose spouse or children do you keep in touch with? As I type I'm looking at my ring from 22KILL, one of several groups I've been involved with over time. Too much time to still have so many in need. So what will YOU do today? Fuckin put up or shut up. End of rant for now... RLTW rl
