Great Video on cleaning your new badger brush. Just picked up a Fanchurian knot as one of my first premium badger.
@@LongIslandShaving thanks! Where from?
@@Tobins_throwbacks Bobby Moffett and a Zenith Boar brush
i'm probably only one but I blow dry my brushes with cool air and had really good luck with keeping them soft. also do my straight razors after each use.
Oh no brother you're not the only one. I personally don't, but my friend Barry he actually has this really cool fan, The base of it is a clip, so he clips it to the desk & hangs his brush upside down and then sets the fan right next to the brush so it's blowing on it.
So I know there's guys like Barry that uses fans and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if there were others out there I actually think that's a great idea. And I don't see what harm would come of it as long as you're using a low heat and not allowing the bristles to get too hot I don't see how it could hurt it. And you said you're using cool air so I think that's a brilliant idea. I may be tempted to give it a try with some of my high density brushes.
Have a good one!
Thanks for the info. I just did this to my new zenith two band today. I noticed that it really fanned out afterward. Looks healthy.
Awesome! I want to add a couple Zenith brushes to the den including a boar and badger. Have a good one!
This is great! Thanks 🐐
@@ChristopherDanielJones you bet man thank you
Great video. When I received my first badger I loaded to bowls and cleaned up like you showing in this video. Great stuff Tobin
Thank you sir! It has served me well.🙌 Have a great week brother!
Beautiful brush!!
I love it! Thanks bro!!
Thank you for this Tobin
so after two washs that would take out the stinck?
Absolutely, and if not do it a 3rd time. But if you do it twice with a stronger fragrance soap it should be good to go 👍👍
You can also allow it to "sit" in the lather for a few hours. Then rinse it
Hope this helps
I like this method, I agree about bacteria, thanks Tobin
I don't worry about bacteria either great explanation
Same here
Love those handles!
Both brushes 😍😍😍🙌
Well done again sir!
New Subber, Let’s GO!!!!
Thanks Tobin for this great Video.
Thank you Robert! Hope you're doing well brother!
@@Tobins_throwbacks I do!
Extremely well done sir!
Thank you kindly!
That brush 😍🔥😍
Thank you!
Hey tobin you do use a nylon washer on your artifact right because i use one on my
Hey Michael, so I'm conflicted with it. I do use one on mine, but be very cautious as to not over tighten it. I learned that some people over tighten and then damage the razor. I use nylon washers on all of my razors, but I've been cautious and maybe a little lucky.
@@Tobins_throwbacks ok thank you tobin yes i use washers on all my razors too yes I will be very careful not to tighten it too tight thanks buddy unbelievable how efficient that razor is and so smooth I get a bbs every time
@@michaelmclelland8440 you're welcome. And me too! I love that razor, used it again the other day with a Topaz blade and it did great even with that blade! After making that video I was cautioned about using a washer with bakelites, I figured you already knew that I just didn't want to assume. I may have to use the Artifact in shave video today! Thanks for the idea 😊🙌👍👍
@@Tobins_throwbacks you welcome I have a lot of bakelites too I got one called the German Bakelite slant it’s a smooth shaver too
High Tobin! I forgot the main question: where to buy this beatiful Ladies" i like the colours
Morning! Mred makes them. Each piece is unique. He is located in France. The guy is talented. I was just looking at his current offerings 😀 wow! I want most of them lol
www.mred.site/categorie/blaireaux/
That link should take you straight to his website. There is a language tab where you can choose English or just about any other language.
So, you do it twice with natural and once with synthetics. Correct?
Yes sir, you got it 👍👍🙌
🙌👍👍
nice brushes... store it dry there is no hygiene problem
Thank you!
I 100% agree, I've never understood the hygiene argument. My brushes never stink, nor am I ever worried about them being "clean".
Have a good one!
Easier method. Just wash it with hair shampoo. Takes 2 minutes.
Sorry for the late reply. I dont own bottled shampoo. I don't/wont put store bought (bottled) shampoo on my head and I personally don't want it near my brushes either.
I use a Shampoo Puck.
Also, this is a hobby... Why rush any part of it?
I've never understood the "fast" thinking with any part of this hobby.
Slow down, enjoy the Little Things 😉🙏
Those are some nice looking brushes brother!
Thank you sir! Michael does amazing work! I wish I could afford more! Have a great week!
Great video Tobin. Love breaking in new brushes, especially boar. Great to see how they change with use. I need to look at M Red brushes. Be well!
Thanks Glenn! I can't recommend Michael enough, some of the most beautiful handles on the market. Take Care Glenn and thanks again!
