- Please subscribe to my channel! Cabot wood stripper used along with pressure washer, pump sprayer, and deck scrubber to remove Benjamin Moore Redwood stain from my deck.
If i wanted to clean a deck and not remove the stain finish.. is sodium hyporchlorite (bleach) too strong? Or will it leave the stain on the wood and just remove the dirt, grime, algea, mold etc
Your deck videos have inspired me to rejuvenate my deck, but I have a question: Does sanding make wood stripper and wood cleaner unnecessary? Won’t sanding remove stain, paint, dirt, mildew, and anything else on the wood? Thanks!
Would this work for a recently oiled deck. Oiled it and don't like the colour
This is very tedious work. I did a 16x16 and that was enough for me. The deck looks better, but it was a PITA to pressure wash all the crap off it

you should watch a power washing tutorial for wood, you should flare the water so you dont eat marks into the wood. the stripping guide was useful though thanks

Why do you say in your video that you shouldn't have used a pump sprayer to put the wood stripper on with?

Just get a 4,000 psi pressure washer, pressure wash the deck and it will remove 100% of any kind of old stain or paint. The key is getting the high psi pressure washer. Sure it’s more expensive but it makes life SOOOO much easier and will ultimately save you money because you won’t have to waste your money on all those useless chemicals. So with that bad boy you could pressure wash and simply stain it after it drys and that’s it. No adding chemicals and waiting... none of that, it’s just a two step process.
