Yes I love doing it as my hands width is 6 inches. My friends hubby didn't believe me so measured and was amazed I was right. It's easy and I have it with me at all times lol x Have a good week x
I always enjoy your videos Liz, no matter the content. You are a real gardener. I will go back and take a look at some of your older videos as I enjoy the dark evenings of winter
Just ordered your garden journal! Very excited to use it this coming planting season. I can only do grow bag/container gardening where I live, but you can grow a surprising amount in those two things!❤
I found some garlic we had harvested in late summer still in the greenhouse and it gone green and started sprouting so I have replanted it! I have planted supermarket garlic in the past and it has usually done OK. Now I prefer elephant garlic but grow both as insurance! I didn't know the elephant stuff was actually a leek so thank you for that bit of info. Watching jane's Growing garden yesterday I discovered that the tiny bulbils can be grown on too but take 2 years to get big enough to harvest - I wonder how many I have thrown on the compost heap because I didn't know that?
A daily vlog-style video for 19 months and then I reduced it to one a week for more information and teaching style videos. I also did a live chat once a week for about 3 years!
My biggest tip is to learn to believe that 'this too will pass' and focus on the spring light that will be with us soon. I don't really have any good words of wisdom about this, sorry.
I love that we both use the my hand is about this big style of measuring!
It works perfectly! 💚

Thank you so much!
Your signature Hello, 'ha-loe' always disarms me into a huge smile. 👍❤
Hurrah!
I love how your garden is evolving. All of the upright structures and new beds are making it charming, like your old previous house garden.
Thank you! It took a while for the garden to start feeling established, but now it feels like a big hug every time I go into it.
Nice Video dear
i love gardening

I'm always pleasantly surprised at how much can be grown in any given space! I hope you enjoy the journal and find it useful.

Oh yes, the bulbils are a great way to grow even more elephant garlic!
nice video liz always a joy to watch
Thank you 😁 and I appreciate your comments with each video!
8 years wow. I have only done 3 months. Congratulations.

Lovely surprise harvests! Yes, let's get that garlic in the ground. Just received my 'seed' garlic from Keene.
I love the start of the gardening year (autumn for me), all those little parcels of potential going into the ground - hurrah!
Good luck this season.
Thank you! And for you too!
Got me motivated to do some garden tidying, thank you. How do you have foxglove in flower in November? X
The foxglove is not in flower, it's the plant that will produce flowers next year!
Good video
Thanks
Wow, this elephant galic clove is huge!! I have never seen this kind of garlic anywhere around here. Is this something typically british!?
I'm not sure where it originates, but it certainly grows well in our cool and mild climate.
Liz, we have the same health issues I wonder how you cope with it. I know you have spoken about it in the past but I wonder any new tips?
