It's a tossup between the Season 9 Red Team and Season 10 Red Team as the most toxic red team in HK history. Season 9 was a definitely a season where the talent took a backseat to the drama. Namely because 1) Amanda, who started strong in the first two episodes but crashed in the third dinner service, got eliminated over Carrie, who essentially sank the entire red kitchen and got the red team kicked out, and 2) as you mentioned on this list, the red team won 4 dinner services. The blue team, despite winning more challenges, only won 3 of them. That means the other 5 were dinner services where Ramsay called both teams losers. Admittedly, I would've BARELY given the win in the F7 dinner service to the blue team, and I do mean BARELY. While Tommy screwed up with onion rings and Natalie melted down on the fish station (as you covered in another video), their performances were still better than Elise and Elizabeth that night, whose performances were so bad they got kicked out of the kitchen. Then again, if Ramsay did given the win to the blue team, albeit BARELY, he probably would've still eliminated either Tommy or Natalie from the winning team.
Also the Season 4 blue team and the Season 6 red team are the most underratedly bad teams in Hell's Kitchen history. And it's a shame, especially in the case for the S6 red team as I do like quite a few contestants on that team. I kind of like Sabrina G even with her inconsistent performances, I like Amanda even though she wasn't that good, I love Ariel, Tennille had one of the greatest comebacks in HK history, and... admittedly I don't like Suzanne, but that's another story.

UPDATE, and SPOILERS for Season 22:
The Season 22 Red Team can officially go on this list, as they're tied with the Season 17 (All-Stars) Red Team at #6. They won 3/10 rewards and 3/9 dinner services, leading to a 31.6% win rate, just like the Season 17 Red Team. They had some talent on that team, but I guess the Blue Team that season just worked better together throughout the season. It's pretty telling when someone like Melissa on that team goes from early frontrunner to fourth boot in the span of a few episodes.

    • @ultranaticproductions3103
      @ultranaticproductions3103  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

This is basically correct, though imo, they actually did worse, since one of their service was a joint win w/ the Blue Team. One where they still had to nominate people for elimination, and one of those people (Raneisha) did in fact have their jacket taken by GR. So the record for me would be 5/19, or 26.32% average for the S22 Red Team, which puts them at a tie with the S21 Blue Team.

    • @heymistercarter.
      @heymistercarter. 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

@@ultranaticproductions3103 So in that case, they really are the worst Red Team since Season 7. It's a shame too, since a number of chefs on that team had talent and would've probably done better on a different season. Even Melissa, as I said, went from an early frontrunner to all but quitting the show at an early stage because of how bad the team was. It may have been the best for her, though, as I can only imagine what she would've been like had she stayed on and been a part of all the other losses the team went through.

I feel like the blue team should have had 2/12 for season 10 because technically they kinda won dinner service in the top 11 because all the red team got kicked out and they took over. However, because Royce and Patrick happened to also get kicked out, Ramsay called both teams losers and eliminated Patrick just to have Robyn join.

Man, I felt so bad for Jon the whole season. He performed so well throughout the season, but barely got to enjoy any rewards even when he outperformed the whole red team. And right before the finale, he had his one truly poor service at the pass and was cut before the final two. Heck, one could consider him the “true” winner, since Ja’Nel failed a drug test and couldn’t receive her prize (although she was certainly no slouch and definitely deserved the win), while he became Christina Wilson’s sous chef at one of Gordon Ramsey’s restaurants. Definitely one of the best chefs to never reach the final two, if not THE best.

Michael from the first season is one lucky man to be switched on the red team, because on his run, he won 3/5 team challenges, but for red team it was 4/5, and in dinner service, he won 5/6 dinner services. For red & blue, they both won 3/6 dinner services, we combine red team's score for 7/11 (63%), which is still a failing grade, blue had 4/11 (36%). However for Michael, he has 8/11 (72%), which is C-, do that's good for him

I think you may need to update this list pretty soon to include the Season 22 Red Team, since their trajectory has been pretty dismal. As of this typing, they've currently won only 2 out of 8 reward challenges and 3 out of 7 dinner services (including one joint-win, where a red team member, Raneisha, went home that episode). So they're currently sitting at a 33% win rate. If they keep this up, they could very likely make a future update of this list.

Crazy to think how that this list just one season later now has the Season 22 Red Team tied with Season 17's Red Team, as similar to the "All-Stars" (if you could really call 'em that), S22's Red Team only had 3 challenge wins (out of 10) and 3 service wins (out of 9) for a 31.6% total, though that depends if you consider the fact that one of those service wins was a joint win alongside the Blue Team.
If you take the joint win out, that falls to 5 out of 19, or just 26.3%, tied with Season 21's Blue Team.

I suppose on a more superficial level, we've also got Lindsay being like Bonnie (dumb blonde), and Justin being like Frank from S13 (pretty boy), but I feel both Bonnie and Frank are more than just those archetypes, so it's not the *strongest* comparison. But it's a start

And a Red Team Member, Raneisha, went home as a result. Would she count that as a win? I do feel like relatively speaking, though, you could also make a case for S17 red. It was just so jarring how bad an all star team was. It definitely felt like the blue team was casted with the strongest and most deserving chefs in mind, while the red team was only about getting the most controversial people back on.

The reason why men's teams tend to perform significantly worse than women's teams is because the showrunners were actively rigging these seasons against the men from the end of Season 7 all the way to Season 19. Men only won twice during that stretch because the showrunners decided to value keeping the highly toxic Elise around as long as possible (especially given how dominant Wil and Paul were that season), and because Season 12 darling Joy had decided to rage quit even though she was clearly being given the winner's edit throughout the entire competition, and there was simply no way Melinda or Rochelle were gonna win due to their general lack of experience and/or leadership skills (in spite being talented in other areas). Shockingly enough, once Covid hit and restrictions were put in place, Season 20 onward, it's pretty much been all male chef's. Why? Because the showrunners could no longer tinker with the male casts and make them significantly worse than their female counterparts.

I'd love nothing more than to do that myself, but I made the ranking objective based on the number of wins, so 10th is the highest I could put them, given how many rewards they won.

Already done with all the team challenges and services and I believe with their losses they’re comfortably on this list. They really weren’t a bad team though, it’s just a case where the other team was that good.

    Top Chef activated.
All seriousness, TvTropes gives 7 exampes right from the get go. from red we have 6, 7, 17, and 18. from Blue we have 10, 11, and 16.

The winner of HK season 21 Alex had a big brain moment. So happy he won Hell's Kitchen season 21 🎉🎉🎉🎉 :]
Sadly, that didn't happen for Brett in season 18. 😮‍💨🤦 Brett you have one job, not to use your punishment pass. One episode later, uses his punishment pass. Almost everybody on the screen🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦.

Updated list (I compared the ratio of the opposing team for tie breakers)
    10. Season 1 Blue
    9. Season 4 Blue
    8. Season 22 Red
    7. Season 17 Red
    6. Season 6 Red
    5. Season 12 Blue
    4. Season 21 Blue
    3. Season 10 Blue
    2. Season 7 Red
    1. Season 11 Blue
Maybe one of the season 23 teams will get on the list! I'll update it in case if they do :D I might even add the Hell's Kitchen Indonesia teams if they can make it or ones from any other HK knockoff (plz tell me if there are any, because I don't know any others)
Edit: there might be 22 other versions totaling in 57 other seasons………

20:20 I know this is your own opinion but my opinion it wasn't because of Jennifer it was actually because of Elise, peachy. Honorable mentions Robyn from season 10 great at least she approved but right after being put on the blue team she literally back stabs The Blue Team. Barbie from season 9 oh brother, everybody wondering why is she the most hated person she's actually pretty chill me have you seen season 9 she is a nutcase. Oh and also in season 17 she wasn't mostly a helper during the a war conversations especially when it comes to Elise and Michelle. And also she threw out a fish milkshake and the team had to finish a fish milkshake just because she didn't want to be a team player and take the punishment.

Season 11 was terrible (2nd worst after S9) and unbearable to watch due to its one sidedness. TBH I actually felt sorry for the blue team having to go through so many punishments regardless of personalities. Gina's also annoying and irritating too. Yeah Dan's an Ahole but i didnt think Ray was that bad. I'd be salty too if i had to do that many punishments while the other team goes on so many rewards. It was just rigged because the dumb producers thought it'd be funny for the Blue team to consistently lose.
Season 16 blue team was awful too but i didn't feel sorry for any of them because they won over half the challenges and most of them were arrogant jerks.

Please, I couldn't compete with him, his videos are more frequent and more integral to his identity. I love this show, but given my schedule (both on- and off-channel), I will not be able post HK-based videos nearly as often as him. But I will do it whenever possible, this is not a one-off.
